DmC feels like a proper prequel to DMC1

Yeah now I think about it...how did Dante originally plan to get Mundus (he didn't know Vergil was there with the other amulet)?

Did he plan to just wait there until Mundus broke free and entered the Human World to fight him but didn't he go there to stop Mundus before he broke free.

guess he wasn't thinking clearly. i mean, first, he runs into a chick that looks exactly like his mother, then she says that after 20 years of pain, a golden opportunity shows up and you finally get the chance to kill the son of a bitch that took everything from you. i mean, i wouldn't have thought that far ahead yet if i were dante. i'd first want to get to mallet island, then plan out a strategy

dmc3 is a proper prequel, 2 and 4 are not part of the series imo because they were horrible(4 had good combat but was bad overall)

Hmmmm...then there was the fact that Mundus was coming back to enslave (or wipe out) mankind...so he did had to act quickly.
