DmC: Devil May Cry Hands-On Preview – Angels and Demons

Ha lol...Right trigger angel stance and left trigger demon stance...I recall saying that this is basically a sequel to heavenly sword but with a jump button

hmm another article trying to 'gague a reaction' by mentioning the hair.
(that is why they mention it.)
Is it only 360 achievements that's had 'hands on'? No bigger site like an official 360 magazine site? seems odd. (not that i'm doubting the source... but its just usually the bigger sites like to 'brag' about how they've played it.)

TBH, It sounds okay, but i'd feel better when the game is released so i could form my own opinion

So you can't use guns when in Devil or Angel stance.
That's some really bad ju-ju-magumbo................. :/
when you do use the gun in angel or demon form you use the whip. Simply letting go of the trigger will allow you to shoot whenever you want to.

If i'm not mistaken but wasn't DMC the first game to have left and right triggers to switch your weapons?

I thought HS did a better job at the weapon change than DMC especially dmc4. While you hold the button you actually feel like your using a different weapon, rather than scrolling through a number of weapons. Also in HS, there was no way to actually continue a combo after switching weapons, once a combo is started and you switch to the range or power stance, Nariko would simply end the combo with whatever weapon was selected and then restart with the basic combos of the respected weapon. Where as DmC is just like previous games where whenever you switch to the weapon, the combo is immidietly started and can be switched back in forth at will.

Its a huge upgrade from HS and to me, it seems more controlled than the past dmc games.

edit: the hair issue may not be an issue here at DMC forums, well not any more, but around the internet especially youtube, you can always find someone complaining about his hair or he's too emo

Heavenly Sword was a GoW ripoff, stop complimenting it

But it's like someone is always trying to start a 'flame war' by mentioning the hair in these articles. It's getting really old to read about. Surely there are more important things to talk about in the game now, rather than trying to provoke a reaction about 'old news'. I just don't get it.

Why do people start flame wars?

It doesn't bother me because it never was a concern of mine.

and apparently there are still a lot of people upset about the hair. Sure the hair issue would just go away when people just stop talking about it, But when DmC appeared at Captive, that was like NT very first huge DmC showing, and a lot of new people who aren't very much in the loop like we are are seeing it for the first time. So yea, hair is still a big issue to a lot of people.

I've been in and out of Gamestop a lot these past 2 years and just a week ago did someone finally know what i was talking about when i said the new DmC game. Everytime i mentioned it before, they always thought i was talking about the HD collection. But after Captice, yea, someone finally understood and he told me to wait for E3...yea.....no **** sherlock.

while i do like the sound of that i cant help but wonder how youll switch between different angel and demon weapons if you need to hold the buttons to use them

face it mate, 99% of us (me included) had a biiit of a tantrum when we first saw the new dante. from this day on over reacting to a redesign shall be know as doing a dante fan boy. looking back i still smile at what an idiot is was for getting sooo ****ed off over small details

exactly, you cant use guns and a sword at the same time. if its such a huge deal get so good at the game you can switch between angel/demon to guns instantly. its not like weve never lost "guns" if you think about it pandoras box (my personal fav weapon in DMC4) didnt let you use ebony and ivory but it didnt matter cuz the POINT is you can switch
