DmC Devil May Cry Development Team Has Over 90 Members

I'd feel sick if DmC failed. I doubt that it will since it's gotten enough attention. Enslaved suffered I think because of poor advertising, there wasn't that much of it. I only learnt of the game by accident and that's been the same story for a bunch of people I know, while others still haven't heard of it.

DmC got off to a bad start, but it gotten much more publicity than Enslaved in that people know about it. With all the trailers, gameplay and interviews released, it has changed a lot of people's minds, even mine. But I think what's going to be the make or break for people still unsure is the public demo. They've got to make sure that thing's in top form because that's what many are going to be judging the game by.

It's sad though people have to be so violent about the series. But then, the internet itself has turned nasty over the years. You can find some real cruel comments where you'd never expect them to be.

I think that the negative attention has worked in their favor, after all: "No news is good news, but no publicity is bad publicity."

HO HO HO 90 development members, its no wonder why this game gonna be epic, with so many great minds on board, this could be an action game of the year contender, NTs christmas will be a "merry" one

Wait so if there is no news how will we know anything?
Well, there always will be news, but it's never good. But if something goes public, then everyone knows about it. Besides, I think that it worked in there favor because now everyone has heard about it, which, in my humble opinion, is good advertising.

What do you mean news can't be good news?

When you get straight As on your report card isn't that good news? Or when you hear your favorite team won the Super Bowl or the Play Offs. Or when you get a new car or a car you want is on sale for a price you can afford?

News that could be good for you, could be REALLY bad for someone else. For instance, (I'm a Giants fan) if the New York Giants beat the Patriots to win the Superbowl, I'll be very happy, but everyone in Massachusetts will be very ****ed. If I get straight As on my report card, I will be happy, but my younger brother, who got Bs, will get jealous that I received better grades than him.
"No news is good news" is a saying that dates back to the 16th (?) century (Feel free to look it up). I just thought it applied here because the comments for any DmC video are always negative, but the publicity it garners is very good advertising for NT and Capcom

What about if you and your brother both get straight As?

It's an expression that, I believe, best fits the situation at hand. Let's just end it at that. The End.

Fair enough I heard that Shinji Mikami when owning Tango doesn't want his staff to overexceeds 100 workers....I can understand having too much workers working on a single game can lead to well miscommunication issues and work overload and leading to a messed up game (Resident Evil 6) but If I made a video game development company (which I hope to do) my policy would be the more the merrier or at least no more than 200 because so many workers can lead to my company being able to handle multiple projects at once and all you need is a workable and flexible development schedule and this way my workers can work on many types of project so they can develop new skills and this way each worker can shift from in company development teams so if development team A needs a certain person or skill if development team B has it they can borrow it and development team A can give them something development team B has. Plus Platinum Games can make multiple games at once and come out with a new title each year while Ninja Theory takes literally 10 year brakes.

My development company goal is to become the best independent video game development team in the west and rivaling Platinum Hype.

Just a little advice. You improperly used the word 'literally'. When one says "(Something) literally happened", that something really did happen in real life. Ninja theory have never taken more than 3 years to develop a game.

What about the long gap between Kung-Fu Chaos and Heavenly Sword....okay maybe that was 7 years but 7 years is a lot of years of not doing anything for a company that only made 1 game unless if Heavenly Sword had a long development cycle or NT has spent 5 years dicking around or doing stuff on the sides.

Kung Fu Chaos was made before NT was founded while Heavenly Sword was backhanded due to wanting the new tech available for it. Neither where financially successful so it would take a while before you had enough funds to make a new game.

Do you have any coding knowledge? My studio can always use new members.

But the point is that NT has made 3 current gen titles. Only 3. How are they staying afloat? Platinum has been alive for a fraction of the time that NT has and they've made more games than they have. If you are going for the quality over quantity then you can pick any other developer that's made any number of quality games this generation. Any and every studios has made many more games than NT has. That's weird.

Heavenly Sword: 2005-2007 (2-2.5 years)
Enslaved: 2007/2008-2010(2-3 years)
DmC: 2010-2013(2.5-3 years)

2-3 years is the standard development period for a AAA game.

The company was having major financial problems after kung fu chaos until Sony contracted them to make Heavenly sword in 2005. They merely spent 2 years 'dicking around' and it was with a good reason.

You're comparing Ninja Theory, a greenhorn developer, to Platinum Games,a company consisting of many employees from Clover studios who are veterans in the gaming industry and also Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya...k sure.

Platinum Games is simply a bigger studio as they have TWO teams rather than Ninja Theory's one and Platinum's employees also have more experience in the game development field.

Who would you expect to do better in a war council? A corporal or a major?
