DmC anime?

would an anime adaptation like the previous dmc be a great idea to explain the new game even more before the sequel, if they plan on releasing a sequel and what timeline would be better, before the events of DmC or after the events of DmC that will transition to the sequel

If they made the characters true to their ingame counterparts, and didn't make everything too animeish which would completely ruin it for me. I want it to contain the same atmosphere as the game did, not to overdue it with Kawai-desuness or DBZ-tough-guyness. Colors need to be vivid and they need to keep the same voice actors. They really need to hit it right, or it will be just another lame anime.

What are people's thoughts on Cowboy Bebop. I would love a DmC series in that sort of west meets east style.

That's not a bad idea actually. NT did say they didn't like anime, but I don't think that counts to ALL anime. I think they mean animes with ecchi and harem things, or anime that just go too over the top (throwing universes like shuriken, or using a spirit bomb that can destroy the entire earth). I think NT would like cowboy Bebop, Sword of the Stranger, gungrave, or most of Studio Gibli's movies like Princess Mononoke, or Spirited away. Its obvious that they like some anime since Hollow Vergil was obviously from Bleach, and the Mundus boss was from Astro Boy. Hell this sums up DmC in terms of how it fits in anime.

a couple months ago i would have been screaming "NO" in your ears til they bled. but just the other week i started watching the supernatural anime. i think madhouse would do it great justice

After all the grief I have seen some of the people in favor of DmC give the previous series about it being to "anime" I would expect that a anime adaption of DmC would be taboo in their eyes.

Especially given the whole solid "western approach" that has been pushed so sternly by NT and fans of DmC alike.

I just do not see how it would turn out any good.

The DMC anime sucked. Also Madhouse were responsible for the Marvel anime series like the X-Men and Wolverine anime and those were f*cking awful. You call that doing justice to source material?

The DMC anime originally happened as a marketing campaign for DMC 4 to be honest. Having a DmC anime is very unlikely unless western animation investors are willing to invest to make it happen since DmC is not that really well received in japan. Hellsing Ultimate was able to be made because of the western investors.

Besided, i think DmC would work better as a comic/manga anyway.

It would depend on the studio I think. Probably just me but when I hear someone say they hate anime, I tend to think they mean most of the shonen mainstream animes, the ones full of cliches and fillers. Show that same person Cowboy Bebop, Akira, or the Street Fighter animated movie, and I doubt they'd come away from that still hating the entire genre, even if they came away disliking them all.

MadHouse could be a good one. Just shoot one of their producers in the knee if they decide to try to settle Dante with an annoying little girl. Though, I don't know if a DmC anime after Mundus's fall would work, as this is point where there should be a apocalypse/rebellion/utter chaos going on. Also you'd have to walk a fine line between "awesome action" but not overshadowing the sequel game in question.

Madhouse is a top tier animation studio despite the lackluster marvel anime, they still produced some of the best in anime such as Death note, Monster, Trigun, Vampire Hunter D, Satoshi Kon movies, Hosoda Mamoru movies, The Fighting spirit and Black Lagoon. I couldn't see any studio making a DmC anime besides Madhouse because they are the best studio i can come up with when it comes to gun fighting.

Anyone else want a weekly VHD series.

No because that would be too "Japanesy"

It happened to Supernatural. A live action Western TV show.

DmC is still owned by Capcom, a Japanese company, so go figure.

On a side note....didn't Halo, Dead Space, and Dante's Inferno got anime/animated series.

Plus Capcom technically wrote the DMC anime's plot and story while Mad House supplied the animation and in fact the Marvel anime weren't written by them either, I don't know but they were written by outside writers from Marvel they just had a fair share in the writing and it seems the writers wrote the Marvel anime to appeal to the Japanese audience as well (which is why they were all set in Japan and features a crap ton of Japanese characters).

Also, Mad House didn't even write the Supernatural anime either.

So if anything if they do make an anime they can still reserve the rights for it to be written by the owners and Capcom can have NT write the story...have Alex do it, he likes anime apparently (VD). He could write something that translates well into an anime.

Only if it was really good, and looked really good, then sure. But nothing too anime looking, ya know with the big scary eyes. That sort of style wouldn't work for DmC.

have you seen the supernatural anime though? its pretty good. i haven't seen the wolverine anime or the ironman anime. i sorta liked the x-men anime then again i don't know much about x-men beyond ultimate marvel. i think the DMC anime was pretty good. i personally like anime with stand alone episodes like cowboy bebop and flcl. plus, i like dante's personality in the anime. it reminds me of SMT dante a bit.
