What if Sparda didn't die but just went to another dimension (the DmC universe) so he can cheat on his human wife with an angel (Eva).

What if Sparda didn't die and was still protecting Earth? Would we instead call the series "Devil Will Cry" DWC?
What if Dante from DMC2 actually got out of hell hundreds (maybe thousands) of years into the future and the events of Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne was in the future of the DMC world (granted that each SMT game is a different universe/dimension especially Nocturne).

Well think about it.
What if Dante was some youthful kid who had special abilities (not yet DT'd) and Nero was the experienced adversary who came around and let some light shine on Dante's lineage? Then again, that would only work if Nero was Sparda incarnate. In which case:
What if Nero really was Sparda reincarnated?
What if Dante received Yamato and Vergil got Rebellion instead?
Y'know... I'm starting to understand why few of Dante's Devil Arms make it after their first (and only) appearances. Poor things, just imagine Agni & Rudra being abused by Dante. Oh wait, he already did by violating their freedom of speech. And cut the crap about Dante "selling" them; he's selling them as scrapped parts. I guess Sparda knew his sons very well and gave the irresponsible one the durable Rebellion.
What if Vergil used firearms and had nothing against them and Dante preferred magic or despised firearms? Actually, those would be pretty interesting since Vergil would be a sharpshooter - his use with the Summoned Swords in Sword Illusion usually were dead accurate - and Dante would go nuts with whatever projectile magic he could use. Freaking hadoukens everywhere, rainstorm with Summoned Swords, etc.
What if Nero was actually DmC Dante suffering from amnesia and sent to another universe?
What if Mundus was Dante's and Vergil's real father and Sparda was just a good devil who wanted to prevent them from being evil or wanted to give them a choice in life?
What if Trish was actually an amnesiac, revived Eva? That makes Dante's and Trish's relationship even creepier.
What if Sparda never died in the DMC universe?
What if Sparda was actually a female instead of a male?
What if Ebony & Ivory were a pair of shotguns?

Female Dante and Vergil for DmC. Female Dante stays roguish and punkish while female Vergil stays formal and uptight.
Female DMC Dante that didn't involve Dante wearing skimpy clothing. I get it, Dante is a little outrageous, flamboyant, and confident, but could we not have a female Dante wear just a coat and short-shorts?

And here's one for Nero.
After seeing this and remembering some of them, I kind of wished that Dante, Vergil, and Nero were female instead. I mean female Dante pulls off male Dante's look from DMC1 better. Also, I don't remember seeing a lot of punk females in games. I can sort of think of two: Rebecca Crane from Assassin's Creed and Fetch from inFAMOUS: Second Son. And it'd be cool to have one of the twins be the opposite gender. Vergil male or female would still be the collected, ambitious, badass Vergil we all know. We need more female leads in media. They can be weak, strong, sexy, elegant, average, intelligent, whatever. I mean don't we have strong, weak, classy, stupid, smart, sexy male leads? We need more variety in female leads. Female Dante would fit the sexy, strong female lead and female Vergil the intelligent, elegant, and calm female lead.
