question: how would we judge? i'd say something like this:

everything is marked out of ten.

creativeness- (how well you have developed the criteria given to you by baby devil)

spelling- (capitals, punctuation, grammer etc). also to gain better marks use a larger range of vocabulary, although if you are from another country we won't be too harsh on you (but really, if you want to be in the competition, you need to have good grammer and spelling and such)

storyline- (is it interesting? does it keep people reading?)

detail- (description of characters, surroundings etc)

so total marks is out of 40.

what do you guys (and gals) reckon?

Well isn't that just dastardly my dear compatriot! We'll meet later for afternoon tea. You bring the earl grey, milk and cups. I will take the scones and jam.

Not bad admittedly

perhaps also splitting the storyline and detail into appeal inside and outside the genre to give a fair all round result.;)
