Dante's character in a sequel

Why not just have a bar in his office, or something? Or maybe he could rent a small place for himself in Limbo City which is just above a bar/pizzeria.

Agreed, but it should stay somewhat true to the core tenets of what most people consider the classic Dante to be like. Cockiness, swagger, style, and an aptitude for lame one-liners and puns, all the while still being an extension of the Dante we came to know in DmC, albeit older and wiser. He'd be more free spirited and have a less bitter outlook on society. He'd find comfort in small things and also the people in his life he'd consider friends or allies. I feel like this is something we saw a lot of DMC4 with the friendly banter with Trish, Lady, and even Nero. I'd like to see the new Dante akin to that.

I just want Dante to act like an adult when things get serious, ya know, when lives are in danger.

Of course. But a mature Dante in my eyes should never have a dampened spirit, and should always at least be a little bit stupidly optimistic. Even if that means cracking a joke in a demon's face to make things seem a little less grim for himself. As long as the game's story implies that justification for why Dante acts so silly in dire circumstances, I think everyone will be pleased.

I think he would act more mature considering how the fight with Vergil seemed to harden him. And would pay more attention to Kat now that she's no longer a half hearted love interest. And let his white hair grow longer like DMC Dante and let him actually have a red coat. I'd also like to see his DT give him an actual demon form instead of a Quicksilver style.

Maaaaan you'd probably like -Stairway to Heaven- too...except for the red coat thing, no red coat :p

I've already said my idea on appearance, but in terms of personality, my first priority comes down to one thing.
Remove the 'edginess', just take it, and throw it straight out the window.
Unlike the original Dante, have him act serious when he needs to, but don't try to make him all 'dark' and 'rough' in every last scene, because that's just the polar opposite.

Eh, I say keep going with the DmC thing and let nature take its course. No need to force the old Dante into the series. Let it happen naturally; all within a smooth time frame.
