I think the game would actually show Vergil and Dante being brothers which might help us get attached to the characters, where DMC3 just showed us the end of the relationship.

Only time will tell what the story will be like, but let me ask you something.
Everytime I've commented my opinion about the Vergil boss battle being similar to Lady in DMC3, I've ALWAYS had someone reply to me saying that Dante and Vergil will disagree on what to do after they kill Mundus, but (This is a serious question, I'm not being sarcastic so please don't take this the wrong way) did I miss something? Was there some trailer that showed this? Did someone leak the story on the internet? Or has the DMC fanbase had a mutual agreement about how the story has taken place, (similar to how most of the Naruto fanbase predicted that Obito Uchiha was Tobi the whole time) ?

Tobi being Obito was painfully obvious but many fans wanted argued against it because "it was too easy" but that was the point it was too easy the same way how we argue at a Dante VS Vergil boss fight because it is easy.

Well, the difference with this is that it's a video game. The story is not the only reason you would buy it, you buy it for the gameplay. Naruto is different, you watch it for the story, and you would expect that the easy answer would not be the right one. But I get your point, they might throw us a curveball like that.
But I guess this means that there was no leak or trailer that showcased this, and it's just fan speculation. Oh, now how am I going to procrastinate from doing homework? lol

They are both swordsmen so if they fight it will be with Rebellion and Yamato (Dante may use other weapons as well)
