Dante and Vergil

Ronin

Let's rock, baby!
Two brothers in different worlds. Dante was born by Sparda & Eva and left in the orphanages run by demons. While Vergil was born from the same family and....

Maybe Vergil was adopted by an organization involved in the story and could possibly be dressed rich.

I can see Dante and Vergil duking it out.

Dante with Rebellion vs Vergil with Yamato & maybe a rapier.

What do you think what'll happen between the two brothers?

What's wrong with Vergil wielding two swords? A katana & rapier in dual sword combat.

I could totally picture this version of Vergil being more "regal" and "finely dressed" than this Dante.

I think it would be such a good idea to have Vergil as the polar opposite of this Dante as far as attitude and mannerisms goes.

Also, the rapier thing sounds like a good idea.

He could use it as a "secondary weapon" to complement his Katana that he should definitely have.

Also a rapier would go with that regal look lol.

One brother against the system while the other has become an enforcer of the system. Perhaps Vergil has made a deal with the devil that gives him the opportunity to gain power. Later, he plans on betraying the demons to reach even greater heights.

That kind of Vergil is more to my liking than even the original.

I could see Dante walking in some party bar. Vergil is there and learns that his brother finally showed up and they finally meet after all these years.

Vergil invites him to his private quarters and have a chat about their past and family. Then after chatting, Vergil would pick up his katana & rapier and offers Dante to a duel. Though Dante never learned how to properly fight, Vergil gives Dante a chance to learn a thing or two.

And you know that Dante's amulet will be taken like in DMC3. Of course, Dante's full powers will be unleashed.

Then Dante challenges Vergil again. Of course in the battle, Vergil recieves a scar and some blood on the face. For the first time, Vergil felt the sensation for a real challenge and at last he has it. Vergil would throw his trenchcoat out and both fought with so much fury.

So a DMC3 rip-off? :/

I agree with the OP.
Somehow, Vergil was adopted by a rich person or a corporation or hell, maybe even Angels. No idea what their role in this game is. Maybe it is to destroy forces like Malice, the demonic force behind Limbo city.

Anyway, Vergil grows up more refined and graceful, but striving for power.
And he would be the "trusted relation" that lures Dante into the city to destroy it.
Or something.

Anyway, I can't see them fighting each other in this game if that's the case.
Unless he betrays Dante horribly or something.

Since you guys like the idea of Verg' wielding both a katana & rapier. Can't have a british accent?

I hope Verg' can have some good feelings for his brother. I want Dante to have his own shop like the old "D".

Hope the angels can be allies to Dante. Well... the fallen angels will be villains.

If Dante doesn't have a British accent, then I don't think Vergil should have one either. However, if Dante is talking street-like, then I wouldn't mind if Vergil is talking in a more high-class manner. Depends on his personality and background in this game, if he is in it, that is.

Wonder about Vergil. will he be working with a demon council and Arkham is his butler or advisor?

Can't imagine how Dante and Verg' will meet each other. Maybe at some royal party or something. Dante will have to blend in undercover.

I so still want Vergil to wield both Yamato and a rapier for dual combat!

It wouldn't work. The styles used for those weapons are too different, one is a slashing weapon and the other a stabbing weapon. The style and control of each weapon would collide in a big mess and he wouldn't be able to use the full potential with either.

y does Vergil with a rapier make me think of a more badass Raphael (SoulCalibur)?
One brother against the system while the other has become an enforcer of the system.
sounds like an ARC piece :D

and THAT'S thinkin with ur dipstick ^_^

Dual wielding an o-katana and a rapier wouldn't work very well and Vergil needs both hands for his preferred kenjutsu style so he can't really dual wield with Yamato. A better idea would be for Yamato to turn into a rapier. Rebellion has alternate forms so there is no reason to think Yamato wouldn't.

Would Vergil be jealous of Dante? Were the family of Sparda rich throughout time before the modern era and the two were orphaned and one of them later got adopted?

Perhaps Vergil's sword can shapeshift like Dante's Rebellion.
