To explain how all these characters can fight each other on even playing fields in Injustice, Superman developed these Kryptonian super pills that they all take to withstand just as much damage as Superman. It's how they are able to survive it all.

Without it, then yea, the fight would be over because they'd be reduced to nothing more than bloody precipitation before they hit the ground.
