Comeback...

At the end of DMC 3 when vergil takes on the prince of darkness. there is no telling that he is alive
so i am troublled could someone help me

DMC3 is set before DMC1, in DMC1 Virgil returns as Mundus' slave, Nelo Angelo. Dante beats him and recieves his Amulet, but Nelo disapears leaving an inconclusive anwser to wether he is dead or alive.

I think he is alive.

Each time you beat Nelo Angelo (exception of the first time) he teleports away. The last fight you have with him , he also teleports away in the same fasion. I also think he's alive.

He is still alive. The last time you fight Nelo Angelo. He flees by teleporting and he wouldnt be that weak to just die. You are talking about Vergil here not some stupid weakling demon.

Well, I personally believe he's still alive, just because there isn't enough evidence to prove he's dead, all he did was exactly what he did the first two times you fought him, teleport away, although the third teleport looked a little more extravagant than the other two.

It's most likely that he's still alive, Capcom haven't confirmed his death, so I suspect he's still alive and well and he'll make a comeback, maybe in the next game for all we know, the pattern occurs though that Vergil has appeared in odd numbered games, 1 and 3, longshot but maybe he'll show in 5 too!

I hope that he shows up in DMC 5. That would make its story loads better

I argee Vergil is NOT dead. he has just disappeared.

I know it's already been explained that Vergil does appear in the original Devil May Cry as Nelo Angelo, but I thought I'd also add that I genuinely believe that Capcom still has a trick left up their sleeve regarding Vergil; I wouldn't be surprised if Vergil makes an appearance in Devil May Cry, in one way or another.

I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

Even if he is not alive, he should be brought back from the dead. He was the coolest character besides Dante up until then. And all the new characters in DMC4 can't stand up to his wicked awesomeness:lol:
