That vid you posted from the "New Looney Tunes" is actually a very apt comparison when dealing with this whole DmC debacle.DmC was just suffering the wrath of stubborn fanboys who hated the game from day 1.
I remember watching it and thinking, "Whoa, this is exactly how the true fans acted."
In my opinion, the "Lola-having-no-personality-thing" is especially spot-on. It immediately made me think of certain other characters who were just power fantasies and were more or less just typical archetypes for the players to put themselves into.
Of course, most of the damage could have been avoided if DmC had DMC3's gameplay. I'm trying to see this from both sides.
The PR stuff I can take or leave. I hated Microsoft for telling offline players to get a 360, but I didn't constantly flame their boards just because of that, either.
