Brea's DmC glitches (Twosome Time, Rage freezing, flying)

Well, she's paid for the game, if that's any indication of what she thinks of it.

Imagine the outcry from the "pro truestylers" or whatever if she comes out and says she likes DmC.
The truestyler on NeoGAF likes the game. He gave it an 8/10 and already pre-ordered the PC version after playing the 360 one. In fact, he said this game is much more complex than people let on.

Some of these don't seem particularly useful, like the different freezes that brea pulled off: Rage Drop freeze, E&I animation glitch. I even find the invisible prop glitch to be kinda insignificant. The only ones I see that seem really decent are the air standing attacks and the flying glitch.

Even in DMC4, the only "glitches" I can recall that happens during combat are the Lucifer Ecstasy glitch, Inertia, Sky Running, Cancel-able High Roller (Nero), Frost Teleport Glitch, and etc. Most of these are fairly useful and some of them are just retarded. But in DmC, people have been finding glitches that can venture out of maps within DmC quite easily as well as finding glitches that freezes Dante/the enemy. Not sure of DMC3/4 had the same problems though.

I guess that's why that people are complaining so much about the glitches in DmC. Because you can find them easily. Some of them could be found by accident, like the flying glitch.

How about you actually prove it then?

Besides, while there is glitches in DMC4, they aren't as easy to come by as in DmC, not even by a mile.

I agree.

I've only played DMC4 for about a few years now and I haven't really seen any horrible glitches as bad as in DmC. Not to mention some of them are kinda of a one time only thing. Some people have encountered glitches which causes the bosses to be frozen, multiple times. Then there's the Angel Glide glitch that can cause you to skip entire levels as well.

Personally, because of these glitches, I now see speed running potential for this game.

Nah, glitches are pretty normal, they happen and most of the games have some of them, even if some users didn't have such experience.

DMC 4 had bad glitches like the one during Bloody Palace, when a Faust simply disappeared. He only came back when the countdown was reaching zero, lol. It's on youtube.

There are others too. Some people are really blowing DmC out of proportion, treating it as if it was the only game to have glitches, and flaws when that's wrong.

That being said, these are pretty funny glitches for DmC and some of them are useful. XD

This is a point I've used over and over. I can't even count the number of glitches I've found in other games but DmC is always being singled out. If you buy a Bethesda/Rockstar game and there ISN'T glitches, then you clearly haven't bought a proper Bethesda/Rockstar game. I started in 2006 finding Zelda TP glitches (with a group of others) to break the entire game but again, DmC is the only problem ever. Stupid.
Fugg if I know what that was...

Nice glitches though :D Haven't been bothered to look for anyway BUT, I fully completed this game today (got all the achievements after beating HoH mode) and now I can go glitch hunting again. (I've found one so far).

The ones in this video, especially the broken Dante is hilarious! XD
Someone exorcise that dude!

The thing is, one must try REALLY hard to come across a glitch in DMC3/DMC4 while it happens all the time in DmC

I remember a number of fans taking advantage of glitches to get through DMC3's later difficulties. The beowulf glitch in particular was a favorite.

Please take off the rose tinted glasses when talking about the past games.

I wouldn't say it "happens all the time in DmC," because I've played the game a lot now, and I haven't run across any glitches...sorta like the ones Chaser found in the demo, many require a stricter set of circumstances than what a lot of people are reaching during normal play :/

I still think the invisible prop move should be officially dubbed "Mind Prop", if anyone makes tutorials for doing this stuff I would love for you to use the term :P
Anyway about glitches in DmC, I've had much more DMC game time than I have DmC, yet found more glitches accidentally in DmC (of course it doesn't compare to a Bethesda game on release but that's another story). As said before It's probably not just the fact these glitches exist, it's more about the ease of doing these things by accident. If a game is made with a decent testing process accidental glitches should be impossibly rare, such as in DMC4 or the many other games I could quite easily list; where I have had next to no accidental glitches, just glitches that I forced on purpose.

P.S. I'm in no way singling out DmC, it's the threads topic so I'm going to use DmC as the example. If you really want me to discuss other game glitches I could do so for hours.

You know...when you think about it...aren't the number of glitches in the game sorta on the QA team's head? It's their entire job to look for glitches so they can be fixed before release. No code just instantly works right away without testing, and the more stuff put into that, the worse things can get before they get better :/

The Japanese are insane with the level of QA their games have; there's always so few glitches. I guess it's the sorry state of how we treat and overwork our QA teams in the West :/

I'm surprised Brea hasn't been hired to do some work for Capcom or any other development studio. I know Capcom hired a couple high tier players for their fighting games to work on MVC3.

Hence the reason I used "testing process" rather than stating a game developer as a whole.
N' I would discuss the subject with you but I know we already have so I'll just nod lol (I'm pretty sure in the end we just agreed it was despicable anyway)
