Well then one must define what kind of war it is. Sucide bombers kill innocent people because of religion. There is many ways of warfare.

Not saying it's a war but this whole DmC argument is like something i would call "pschology war".

But i guess your right - the word war shoudn't be taken so lightly. But it is like a war.

on topic, Supporter and skeptic is fine just as long as we are open to understanding the other sides point of view.

Fan vs NT is a battle easily fought as we can just not buy their product. The most effective means of fighting back.
 
It may seem that i want to add more fuel to the fire but honestly i am just ****ed off. I think there is difference between me being ****ed off and me hating DmC. When i look at DmC videos i don't dislike what i see.
But i dislike that DmC character is constantly being portrayed as Dante when he's different character because his character is not the exact same.

But don't count me in this tiresome debate.
 
I see it like this: There are no one to blame because we are all to blame. If people from the start were more acceptive and understanding, none of this would happen, but it is not within the nature of man to be like that. People like conflict and if there are none, there will be made conflict. As Mr. Random pointed out, Capcom knew from the very start that this would be a delicate matter, but instead of trying to understand why they chose to do this with Devil May Cry, rage and hatred flooded through the several forums and the internet. Hatred beckons hatred, so the hatred shot forward at Ninja Theory was responded with sarcasm and light-hearted gestures which the raging fans of course took too personally.

Instead of taking a deep breath, count to ten and relax for a bit so we can have a nice and easy discussion, people instantly draw their guns and fire away their spite at eachother. It is simply human nature.
 
Well NT is a secret FBI gaming organisation which is very secretive in their projects no matter the fans going berserk :p
 
How the hell is this a war? Where's the violence? The blood? The death? The correct term is called an argument or a debate, not a war.... -_-

lol Ok I got that out of my system. But anyway..... In the end you're going to either buy the game or not buy the game. It's really as simple as that in my opinion.
 
Yes some skeptics and some supporters do act childish however here is a prime reason as of why people are arguing for so long. Its the fact that people (on both sides) tends to generalize a lot on how the other side acts, which leads to people having a stereotypical view on a person whoever fits which side.

In some posts I seen some people tend to believe that it's the skeptics at fault when in reality all parties are equally responsible. For one, if they knew that they would receive backlash then it would be best to keep personal opinion out of the earlier PR. Saying "Devil May Cry was out of date" "Devil May Cry was about clothing, music etc" and calling another game by one of the people who help create the first Devil May Cry (Kamiya) "Japanesey"/over the top which he was he wasn't looking for.

Now he is entitled for his opinion but all it did was stir up more questions and because of the Japanesey comment it stirred up bad blood. Made me think "If you feel that way, then why work on this game?"

This has been blown so completely out of proportion, it's just not funny anymore.

Capcom asked them to/ it looks great on your portfolio/ re-developing a classic is a chance to be successful big time/ there's a lot of money in the gaming buisiness and the more popular your franchise, the better for your purse. If Capcom felt, they had to appeal to make DmC a Western thing, then that's not NT's fault at all.

I preferred to call this so called war "Cold war" because of the tension of both haters and supporters of the game,this death threats(dunno if its really true though)and the competition between the original DMC and DmC.

tameem is a hypocrite. it gets harder and harder to watch ninja theory reveal news about the game. i don't feel hyped about it at all. the look, the feel, and the storyline of the game......um....they should've named it Punk it Out and called new dante "Nigel" or something. cause it doesn't feel dmc to me.
ninja theory brushed off the old franchise like it never happened, despite that the old franchise have been a decade old and have loyal fans.
i know like everyone else that ninja theory just want to market their games......but their attitude towards old fans is horrible. yeah i know that new DmC will attracted new fans too.

dmc 4 also attracted new fans awhile back and none of those idiots knew who vergil was and thought nero was in the first three games. dumb f#cks.....do your homework.

Whoa, whoa. Calm down, man. First of all, nobody's a dumb sexual intercourser for not knowing who Vergil was. It's just called being ignorant (not that that's a bad thing) of the DMC history. Nothing to be angry about.
Now, about it not feeling DMCish. I understand the look part--it definitely doesn't look DMC. But we don't know the story or even held the control for the game.

I don't think of it like that. when the 2010 trailer came, everyone was ****ed off, and they had good reason for being ****ed. THEY CHANGED DANTE. It's something un speakable because he's iconic to them. some Dante was their first video game character. That's something you don't screw with in the video game world. ask for NT, they got cocky with power. Taemen if that's how you spell it, said Dante wasn't cool anymore. Now if that was some ordinary guy, it would be fine, but when it's cominng from someone who's handling a DMC game and possibly the next generation of DMC, it kind of tends to put people on edge. Personally I think it's lookin' good, but I still don't like Taemen for saying that, but then again, I don't care about his comments all together. He's just kind of a dick.

I was under the impression that wars happened because certain countries can't keep to their own borders, but that's basically what's happening anyway.

I particularly enjoyed the part of this thread where that one guy tried to point out how dumb it is to argue over this and people responded by arguing over it.

I could probably insight a rage war just by saying that Dante is a pansy OH DEAR GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE PLEASE DON'T HURT ME AAAHHHHHHHHHHH :eek:
