Bosses in DmC

And how so? There's no need to act like a Sparda fanboy/girl/whatever. Just because people do not share your opinion doesn't mean they are wrong.
So when I say someone his wrong I am automatically a fan boy. Great logic there.

Nope, it is the way you go at it that makes you a fanboy. Someone says something about Sparda you disagree with and then you go at them like a rabid dog. And like a fanboy, it is useless to discuss anything with you, so I am going to end it here. I'm not going to bother replying to you, because it won't lead us anywhere than turning this thread off-topic and I don't want that to happen. It is disrespectful to the OP.

I apologise for this, OP. Please, continue on-topic.

I have the rights to disagree with his idea, even if it means I have to turn it into ashes. All he needs to do is to prove that he is right. You can't fool me ZweiLove, you are only fleeing the battle field because your a coward.

Well, a shinigami means a "death god" rather than a demon, but I see what you mean. I haven't watched much Death Note, but he looks cool. ^^
I see. Now I understand what you meant.

Well the concept is much similar its just in Japanese calling it "Death god" if you've watched the whole anime series its you'll know much better about the whole "shinigami" thing i think someone like that suits the vibe of the game its all Dark gritty and same time its trying to be "Realistic" and modern

I dunno how they do it in Death Note, but an "oni" or "akuma" means demon and devil respectively while a shinigami is more like a grim reaper of sorts. I guess the difference is minimal, especially how demons were represented in Devil May Cry 3 where they looked alot like grim reapers. ^^

skeletal looking bosses are perfect for this particular DmC title
as for the shinigami they're all the same with more or less differences for ex :- tekken

Sometimes your shortening of quotes are too funny. "I dunno hors." XD

Primer on the Amatsukami and their consorts (or "here's what little I know of traditional Japanese mythology"):

"-Gami" as a suffix usually describes a spiritual being, more akin to the lore of Siberian shamans, where every object, emotion and generally everything you can describe with words has a spiritual counterpart in form of a "ghost in the machine" if you will. So per se, a -gami is nowhere near a demon and Zwei's "oni" (ogre-like brutes) and the so-called "yokai" are more alike to what DMC presents as demons.

Also to clarify a common mistake among Naruto-readers: neither Susano-o nor Amaterasu are demons. The latter is more or less the queen of the Japanese pantheon and the former is her rash and pretty cool brother.

-gami as in "shini-gami" come from the singular word Kami which means "godlike/divine being". When put into a word, the k turns to a g, so instead of saying shinikami it become shinigami.

Another word like it is kusarigama, the -gama coming from the word "kama" which means "sickle". And a kusarigama is a sickle with a chain attached to its handle with a small weight on it.

A bit more Japanese for you there. ^^

So yeah, the shinigami is more like death gods than demons.

There is a hell in japanese folklore, but it's only inhabitant is Izanami. The shinigami are simply a representation of death and are therefore everywhere.
