Ark: Survival Evolved

I have over 400 hours thrown into this game now and still going strong, I'm not playing with that tribe anymore though as I decided to go into PVE and go for the endgame, even then the game is still awesome and with the Alpha T Rex they're gonna add in, this game is just going to get better.

Glad to see you are enjoying it and more content is coming so thats some impressive play time for something in early alpha yet again.

I'm currently up to 520 hours and still going strong, the game is just too good.

Found this to be a good read last night, detailing the current state and future plans for the extremely popular dinosaur survival title Ark.

Ark: Survival Evolved is currently the fifth most played game on Steam. It’s not the first early access survival game to reach such heights, but so far it’s one of the few to have maintained it. At this year’s Gamescom 2015 RockPaperShotgun spoke to co-creative director Jesse Rapczak about what he feels Ark is doing different, their release and expansion plans, how you foster a less sociopathic survival game playerbase, and why his game is so grindy...

ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED XBOX ONE COMING DECEMBER 16TH

The dinosaur-hunting open-world survival epic ARK: Survival Evolved has gotten off to a fast start. For many of its 2.4 million Early Access customers on PC, it is the dinosaur game they've been wanting their whole lives. ARK was also announced for consoles (console and PC final versions are due out in June 2016), but on Xbox One it's getting the Early Access treatment very soon thanks to the Xbox Game Preview program announced at E3 earlier this year. The XGP edition of the game will be available on December 16 for $34.99.

Ark: Survival Evolved Xbox One Getting Two-Player Local Split-Screen

In news that will surely please couch co-op fans, Studio Wildcard has announced that the soon-to-be-released Xbox One version of dinosaur survival game Ark: Survival Evolved will support local two-player split-screen. Online split-screen is not part of the developer's plans, only local.

Unfortunately, split-screen won't be ready for Ark's release on December 16. Instead, it will come through an update sometime early in 2016. This feature will be exclusive to the Xbox One version, at least for the time being after its release, Studio Wildcard told us.

Although fans will have to wait until 2016 for Ark's split-screen mode, the Xbox One version will support another unique feature right out of the gate tomorrow.

Players can use a second Xbox One to host their own 50-plus player server. Of course, you'll need to have a second Xbox One for this, but as Rapczak points out, hosting a server would normally require "an expensive PC server and a lot of management headaches."

Xbox One players will also get special limited edition "Founder's content," such as skins and more. Check out this post for a full rundown of what to expect.

Me and a fellow tribe member spent all day going for the artifacts and we finally accomplished it for the first time.

Tomorrow we take on the Broodmother!

OK Today and last night were insane.

Last night I lost my best and first ever Quetzal and I was devastated.

But today we managed to tame a Giganatosaurous but it had terrible consequences, the Giga unfortunately got into an allied base and killed some of their best dinos, while the owner of the base is cool with it, the Tribe leader threw a fit and is being an ass.

Still it's our first ever Giga :)
