Anybody Else Gonna Turn Off Damage Increase?

So, if upgrades can be refunded, why not go try and get them when you can afford them and then, if you feel like ramping up the challenge, turn them off during a new game+? Seems pointless not to get them in the first place.

The one thing I'm against, though, are the pre-order bonus perks. Now that's just something that I think taints the experience of playing the game from scratch.

He's a heterosexual male who wears no shirt.

That's taunting both bullets and women!

I already mentioned that I'd get them for completion's sake.

I also mentioned that the upgrades can be toggled off or on a la Bayonetta (from what I've seen), meaning it's not necessary to "refund" them.

Just how much increase in damage are we talking about, though? Is it a 10% increase of damage every upgrade up to 50% of increase?

Regardless of how much is it, even with the "option" to turn it off, being able to become so strong kinda destroys the challange.

If you want challenge, first irl try to get into a friendzone and then out of it, playing the dating game on Dante Must Die :P

But seriously I want my upgrades, they are sort of rewards for getting my ass served on a silver platter every second minute and then finally succeeding...

How does the ability to become stronger destroy the challenge when you can turn it off? I don't understand...

Having the ability to become stronger appeals to me. Being able to turn it off appeals to players that enjoy challenges. It's a win-win.

It's like in previous DMC games... you could start DMD with all the upgrades, or you could start it from scratch and make it insanely difficult.

Oh, those checkboxes to the left of the names? Yeah, that's just an image to let you know you have that one purchased.

I'm currently trying to get out of the friendzone with a girl I like.
