Any Disappointment?

well dmc4 is ok where I am in the story, but I know it sucks that you played dante like 6 levels. I'm sure that made alot of people mad. But I like the idea how Nero came in.

Somereason I hate how the items go up when you buy one. It gets annyoing. I wish the DarkSlayer came like earler in the game so we could have had used more instead of like a few missions.

Dante has only 7 missions..this really sux...:( yeah,i want Darkslayer available earlier so that we can use it more often...the price of items goes up after buying is a challenge, not annoyance...technically,i don't use and buy any items except Blue Orbs and purple Orbs in DMC games unless in DMD modes...:)

What disappointed me in Devil May Cry 4:
  • A somewhat short and linear story mode. I first completed Devil May Cry 4 mode on the Devil Hunter difficutly in just over 12 hours.
  • I thought Kyrie's character was a little weak; not a whole lot of personality. She didn't have a great deal of screen time either which didn't really help.
  • Credo. I thought he was a great character, with such an integral role, who had so much potential. It's a shame he didn't really get the attention he deserved, story-wise.
  • A few points in the story that didn't quite add up, to me.
  • Vergil not making an appearance. Sadly. :(
What I love about Devil May Cry 4:
  • Unbelievably, incredibly, AWESOME Matrix-style fighting cutscenes. Just...wow. Easily puts a John Woo action sequence to shame. :P
  • Nero. I thought Nero's dialogue, presence, everything, was just perfect. I thought he was played to perfection and oozed charisma. An excellent addition to the Devil May Cry cast and one whom I hope will be featured in future Devil May Cry games.
  • While the main storyline is on the short side, I'm still having a blast going through it for the third time. I've currently clocked over 34 hours of gameplay and that's more than I have with games like Mass Effect. That's great replay value IMO.
  • Some intense and very memorable boss battles really kept me on my toes. I loved fighting with Berial and The Saviour. Awesomeness.
  • The enemies. Thank you Capcom for not including incredibly TEDIOUS enemies like the Blood-goyle. I hate those things. Grr.
  • Great cinematical score. Devil May Cry 4 definitely features one of the most top-notch soundtracks, of any game, that I've played in the past year. I'd rank the Devil May Cry 4 official soundtrack up there with others such as: Halo 3, Oblivion, Fable: The Lost Chapters, Final Fantasy, Lost Odyssey, etc. Just brilliant.
Edit: Fixed. ^_^

You seriously should include that in the bad things about DMC4:lol: Even Vergil's sword appeared but not Vergil. Kinda weird=]

Heh, silly me. I dunno how that happened! I edited my post to include that line about Vergil but I must've inadvertently added that to the wrong part. Oops!

Well i belive they will bring vergil back in one of the future games

Also i wann ask u guys wat do u think would make devil may cry 4 better

Yea I wished virgil would had been in the game too. I mean his sword was there, why not him? But I do beleave he will come back in the furture anyways.

I liked Nero Dante was getting kind of Old and its nice haveing a persective of the events that we can relate to

Besides Nero is even more badass then Dante in my opinion simpily because we know Dante so well, we know next to nothing about Nero and capcom did a good job in keeping it that way to keep him interesting and the sequels selling

Nero, better than Dante? No way man. Dante wasn't getting old. Besides, he's almost different in everygame. DMC1=Cool and not as cocky DMC2=...Kinda quiet DMC3= Not quiet, cocky as ever, immature DMC4= Not quiet, cocky, wiser, still immature.

So it's only like we've had 2 DMCs with the Dante we know and love. Not to say that the other ones wern't cool, but I think Capcom has finnaly found a personality for Dante to stick to. How do you get tired of a guy with like 15 personalities?

That's just my opinion anyways.

And what exactly can we relate to with Nero?

I was disappointed with Yamato, I never got to play DM3SE so DMC4 was the first time I have yamato in my DMC arsenal. And not being able to perform Vergil's moves was a pain. I would've liked it if Nero could use yamato (being able to choose between it and Red Queen or replacing Red Queen) outside of DT and the attacks from DMC3 being purchasable. If they make a fifth game I'll hope Yamato will be an upgradible sword. Theres also the whole bit with Dante's Dark Slayer.

I think its safe to say that although it could be improved on (i was hoping for a 'proper' SE alike DMC3 with new stuff >.<), the pros easily outweigh the cons :D

Oh yeah. Another thing that disappointed me a little was the Dark Slayer style for Dante. It was nearly as good as it was in Devil May Cry 3 when Vergil used it. I would have loved to have been able to play with the Spirit Swords...

You can use the sword of dante

i think u guys were expecting too much

guys wat order do the games go in by timeline
