People who can't buy it new should pre order it. You kno pay it little by little as time goes on until the release date. Pre buying it bascially nets you the game earlier or whenever you pay it off and extra content that can be used to help advance.

happy fans, and im just groping people here unless theres a better word, will get the game new for what it is. People who buy it used might do it because they don't like dante or something about the game but still want to try it out; Or they do it because they can't afford it at release, hence why pre ordering even exists just pay it off before release.

extra skin DLC is not so game changing so significant to the game as whole that it should really matter wethier it gets added or not. Capcom, hell every one knows there are people who just downright hate how dante looks. Now what your trying to say is DLC this insignificant screwing over a fanbase but it isn't it's just a skin. Maybe your mad because this is something you want but truth is just because you want it, or anyone for this case, doesn't make it important. It doesn't destory the game, it doesn't effect "happy fans", and it doesn't add anything significant to the game as a whole.

It's smart on capcom's side because they'll make money off people who are interested in a very minor detail. People who got the game ahead of launch are already satisfied hence their buying it early if it doesn't affect them in a big way then it really isn't doing anything. To them, and again correct me if i'm wrong, this is just optional minor content the game doesn't really NEED to be complete.

Great but I have a question: Will it really make an impact on the game? I mean like is it only skin or the weapon has an effect? If it is only skin, then I am out of the pre-order line!

seems to be just skin. but what i'm unsure about is the samurai pack though thatt could be anything. i hope it's just skin

I also hope it is a just skin because if it is a different weapon set with effect which is only available when you pre-order it, I am sure many people will be ****ed! Damn Crapcom and it's money gaining mind tricks!!

the bone/samurai weapons are exclusive to being pre ordered. but i imagine theyll be available as dlc further down the road
 
i feel like DLC is a very flexible and supportive of the game if used in the right way, however, the way Capcom uses is pretty detrimental to the product. That being said i feel like the misuse and "spam" of DLC in the current generation of games has also to do with the current gamers. They might put too much weight on DLC and view it as an essential part of the product rather than an optional choice. I mean the games before didn't have DLC (shocker i know) you had to play through the entire game....you could almost hear the collective gasp....
Edit: and i don't think putting in original Dante skin is the smartest move
 
I like the idea of a Samurai pack. A bone pack, on the other hand....are just bones. "Precision defined sharp bones"? As opposed to being imprecise and dull? It's virtual, so it would be precise even if it looked dull.

I wish I had a Lady and the Tramp gif where the Italian cook knocks the plate of bones out of the assistant chef's hands.I couldn't fine one, so just imagine it.

"BONES?" *smacks*

In which case a Yamato Katanna skin would be a perfect choice.
 
I honestly think these are just going to be diferent skins. Bone might be different bump map but till I see them I say 'meh.'
 
Ok the Amazon one blows Gamestop's wayyyy out of the water...but screw them both. Retail specific bonuses suck. And what do ya know? The shotgun's back! :D
 
It is sort of surreal though when You step back and think about it; Weapon skin packs in a Devil May Cry game. Just doesn't... sound right does it?
 
More variety? It sounds very right to me. I see nothing wrong with this at all. If you don't cared about this promotion, don't pre-order. If you were planning on pre-ordering anyway, it's just icing on the cake.
