Man I've been hearing SO much sh*t from both sides about how he's disrespectful to the fans. To me I really don't think he did, he was just speaking the truth about Dante being outdated. You know, what isn't cool then isn't cool now?

Here, http://www.destructoid.com/ninja-theory-old-dante-isn-t-cool-anymore-184600.phtml

And I mean be honest people, who actually thought Dante was getting a bit outdated? I did after DMC4, as much as I love him (not the one in 4), something had to go.

So yeah, was I the only one who understands Tameem?

I was. He was getting stale and I wanted a reboot, or make old Dante interesting again.

playing DMC4, all I could think was this

I used to hate him, because he came off as arrogant and dickish. ... Okay, he is, but it's more of an amusing quirk than a problem, because he'd never had to deal with the rabid and hateful refuse that was undeservedly thrown at his company after Capcom gave his team a directive and project, and so I can't blame him for trolling back. He had never run into Evangelion fans before, you know. :troll:

I love the old dante and mainly in dmc3 and 4, just the way they had him go about himself. That article was saying how Dante was never really cool since he always ended up being kind of silly but that is what got me to like him so much and it was cool in a way. I always thought he was cool. I wasn't getting tired of him at all but it's nice to see a new look at young Dante with a little bit more emotion

Dantes personality never changing from DMC3 was the kicker. I dont mind guys acting like immature punk kids when they're young kids; that's why I dont mind DMC3 dantes attitude or DmC Dante but when DMC4 rolled around it was time for him to grow up. it just seemed like capcom didn't want to let 3 go and he was going through mid-life crisis. Personally I always thought the first Dante was the perfect mix of funny, dorky, serious and badass but even with the same formula there is only so far you can go. If capcom is able to do the original justice I would like one more game with classic Dante to tie up loose ends otherwise, just bring on DmC2 because I've grown attached to the new Dante.

Look, i frickin love original Dante, hes up there in my list of all time favorite characters. DMC3 still remains as the second best game ive ever played(in my opinion) 1st being Shadow of the colossus. POINT BEING! is that the reason i think a reboot was needed is that DMC4 pretty much followed Dante down an ally and beat him to death before moving through his pockets for any loose mannerisms and jokes.

DMC4 Dante had become a PARODY! of the real Dante, he didnt struggle or put in any actual effort. you kept playing as him waiting for that epic moment when he looks all serious and ready to get **** done. but no, he just hands the stage to nero not giving a damn. he faces no struggle, no dilema, he hasnt changed his behavior at all since DMC3 except now he refuses to take ANYTHING seriously. if they DID make a DMC5 theyd have to make it about nero as dante had just become plain annoying.

DMC3 Dante was my favorite Dante. But the DMC4 Dante was just...well, there. I still found him to be a bit entertaining, more than DmC Dante, but he wasn't as good as DMC3 Dante in my opinion.

I nver had an issue with him either when I tweeted him. Must be because I didn't spew "I hope you get anally raped by the REAL Dante!" at him and instead was civil and professional when I did message him, makes a WORLD of difference.

I was tired of DMC4 Dante, because he lacked development and real emotion, which took away any balance to his outrageous behavior. But classic Dante wasn't tiring as a whole, in my opinion, and like the article said, he was never mainstream cool, not even ten years ago, and I don't think anybody liked him for a perceived notion of cool, either.

Plus, I liked that classic Dante was pretty vain and it showed in his choice of dress, not to mention his show-off behavior. It was an element of his personality. DmC Dante is kind of trashy, complete with wifebeater and trailer. And he acts trashy, at first, but it kind of vanishes early on in the game, so the clothes don't say anything about him anymore. Not that I miss his trashiness, I loathed it, but if it was gonna go, lord, I wish it had taken the dirty wifebeater with it.

I never in the slightest had anything against Tameem. He never insulted anyone or anything. If so, them from most of what I've seen is that the haters started it first. He just gives his own opinion. He didn't think Bayonetta wasn't cool, that understandable and he still loves the game. He says original Dante would be laughed at in the bar on THIS day, that doesn't mean he HATES him. He didn't care about the negative feedback just by only three words " I don't care," (that takes balls) and I respect him for that. I believe it's some journalists and most fans that take it the wrong way.

Also, DMC1 and DmC Dante are the best in series. DMC3 Dante while at a young age, was unfunny, cringeworthy, and wildly annoying. DMC4 was one step forward and two steps back. He was funnier and a little more mature, but he was so powerful and cocky that he made DMC4 a joke, no struggles, and barely any development. He made everything that was abit serious from the first 11 missions to a parody.

I know. I mean he was just being himself, which most developers don't have the freedom to do. He expressed himself and how he felt and did it in his own opinion.

To this day, DMC1 and DmC Dante are the only Dantes that I call Dante. DMC3 Dante was cool too but only when it came to moves.
