I run the children's department of an online library for the blind and partially sighted. I buy the books, scan them into PDF form, upload them to the website and then customers come along and download what they want for free onto whatever reading format they require - whether it be an electronic speaking reader or maybe large print on a specially designed computer screen. There's no charge and they can have the latest books without having to wait for them to be put onto CD or tape...or having to pay for them either.
It also means I get all the books I want - just received Just So stories by Rudyard Kipling and The Land Of Green Ginger by Noel Langley - two favourite books from my childhood.
