Oh I will most likely get MGR. Tonight's trailer showed that the game did have some better environments and better gameplay, although I will wait and see about the combo potential. The slow-mo slicing will get repetitive I am sure if that's the main area of combat. The only thing that went into the toilet for me was the story and dialogue and voice acting. When you have the biggest enemy boss sounding like a good ole Arkansas boy, something was done wrong.

I am getting mine for 360. I haven't played the PS3 in ages. It's in my stepdaughter's room and the thing is loaded with kids games now so everytime I turn it on I feel like I need a squeek toy. I bought the 360 specifically for the Live. Since you have to pay for it, which I won't, it keeps me from going online so often and wasting hours of the night at times.

Well, I've played the demo, and while the enemies seem to be particularly vulnerable to slow-mo, the bosses aren't. It's still brutally difficult on Hard... lol

I don't know where to get the MGR demo (From ZoE HD right?) But, I'll give it a try, IF I'm not too busy with DmC

The demo is actually being released on PSN and Live tomorrow. Same day that DmC comes out. Coincidence? Yeah, doubtful. Listen to Boris the Russian and let me know if you thought he sounded as cheesy as I thought he did.

Really? Because I've heard it comes out next Tuesday.
 
I just don't get that argument that MGR is the TRUE successor to DMC lol. I remember when Bayonetta came out and some fans started saying that was the true successor to DMC3 because they didn't like 4. Well the only true heir to the DMC mantle is whatever Capcom says it is. MGR, to me at least looks like super stupid ridiculous fun and I want to play it. I can however say at least from what I have seen, combat wise, it's really not like a DMC game at all, and that's great because I don't want to play DMC all the time in every action game.

Yeah I believe Konami has actually confimred a January 22 for when the demo comes out.

I agree, I really like some variety. I do like P* games and I will definitely give it a shot, but I may put on the Japanese voice-over if it is there, because yeah...it's pretty bad. I enjoyed Bayonetta, Vanquish as well. MGR really needs standout combat for me to enjoy it, which is why I have that worry that the slow-mo mechanic is going to be a crutch in the game. I haven't played the demo, but it also looked like a good amount of QTE?

Yeah that slow motion thing kinda bugs me, does not seem to have a real use and I really hope it uses those QTE's sparingly. I trust Platinum Games to make a great action title and i'm hoping this lives up to their lineage. I didn't know the voice acting was that bad though lol

See for yourself. The voice acting can only do so much to cover over the horrible one liners in some parts. Just listen to the trailer with those two thoughts in mind.

Holy crap you're right. when I first watched this when it released, I had no idea how bad the voice acting was...gameplay looks pretty good, but voice acting, no.

Well no one can accuse DmC of having bad writing that's for sure and the voice acting.....I guess it did inherit that aspect from the old DMC games. But the action stuff looks really fun, still kinda iffy about the slow motion slicing even after seeing this. I really wonder how MG fans feel about this game though and if they are as nutty as some of DMC fans can be
