A potential rival for Nero in a DMC6?

Would you care to see Nero’s rival combat Nero’s arm with his leg?

I’d imagine the rival will have a prosthetic leg on his left for Nero to fight.

Nero’s punch vs the rival’s kick!
 
Nero's arm grew back though, so maybe a demon who has a demonic foot from the knee down rather than a prosthetic.

Nero has a motorcycle customized sword & a modified revolver added alongside his demon arm.

For the rival having a demon arm, what melee & ranged weapon would you have it possess?

If a sword, perhaps anything other than European or Asian… how about African like a khopesh from Egypt?

If not a sword, perhaps a polearm?

As for guns, I could imagine an SMG? Or magnum?

I just saw this character as a secondary threat and reliant on technology.

so they would have an Iron man suit but having a magic user or alchemist type character is also fair play.
 
I actually think a character like john constantine would be great as an antagonist. A human versed in magical and other arts, who uses wit and cunning to take nero apart piece by piece until it comes to a head. Or they realise they are on the same side.
 
^ In a similar vein, I would be interested in seeing a character like Marvel's Moon Knight as a demon hunter. ;)

Since Bosch voices Dante as well as Nero, wonder if Robbie Daymond who's voicing Vergil can play a new character as Nero's rival/partner?

Any ideas for Nero to have a rival/archenemy?

Hes gotta have his own sword fight with someone!
 
Taking inspiration from anime Project ARMS, would you envision the rival of Nero to have a special right arm like Nero's or a left demon arm, demon legs or demon eyes?
 

Nero definitely needs a rival out of someone inspired from Giorno Giovanna of JoJo as I see the Sparda bloodline & JoJo bloodline in comparison.

And a khopesh could work for his signature weapon.
 
Nero vs Mundus > finds out Dante has a son that helps him defeat Mundus. Have him and Dante's son fight in rival boss fights throughout the game, only to team up at the end when Nero discovers who this new devil hunter is. Twist: Dante's son has red hair... Lucia as Dante's love interest? lol nah, some chick named Beatrice with red hair. His son's name? I dunno... Ulysses/Odysseus could be his name to base him on epic poetry.

Nero versus a doppelganger version of himself and/or visions of his father. As he progresses as a devil hunter he faces an enemy that forces him to confront himself as his own enemy and the things that haunt him.
 
Who's all to imagine the new character to have vibes of Giorno Giovanna & Piccolo with a shamshir as his main weapon? He'll be half-demon and the son of some high-ranked demon following Sparda's path. The father be someone who served Mundus.
 
I have a better rival in mind! In honor of Credo, I would imagine the rival to remind Nero of him and would have a Royal Guard playstyle.

I'm still sticking to Giorno Giovanna vibes but also adding vibes of Broly (DBS version) & Solidus Snake! The character will have a special left arm that becomes a shield rivalling Neros' Devil Bringer & Breakers.


For his sword? I go a zulfiqar!


Just need a good name.

Also for his Devil Trigger, it'll be like False Super Saiyan. While his Sin DT will be inspired from the Legendary Super Saiyan.
 

Would a Dual-Headed Blade be good for Nero's future rival?​

It all depends whether to make it a South Asian sword, Southeast Asian sword, West Asian sword, African sword or Oceanic sword?
