That could might as well be possible, actually. We only hear that Sparda gave Dante his sword, so him being the leader of The Order, hiding from Mundus (maybe because he has lost his powers somehow) could be plausible.

I don't really see him being Sparda. Mundus is what he is, most likely. I mean, Mundus has already been confirmed to be in the game by the voice in captivate demo and this guy has those inverted three eyes on his head too. A straight giveaway of the fact that he's Mundus, right? =P

1. the guy on 4chan has been disturbingly accurate so far.
2. he said that Vergil would be in the game wearing a black coat and the leader of the Order wears a black coat.
3. a lot of people are really sure that Vergil is the leader of the Order.
4. it would be really odd for Vergil to not play a major role and it is very unlikely he won't be included somehow.
5. so far there has been no official mention of what Vergil is doing and if he has a major role other that leader of the Order they would have said something by now.
6. there is no other previously existing character more likely to be the leader of the Order.
7. he could be an original character but it would be odd to give a role that important to a new guy and not give Vergil a major role.
Conclusion: Vergil is probably the leader of the Order and the guy on 4chan is probably telling the truth. we can probably expect to see Lilith later at E3 but we will probably have to buy the game to see the (apparently "tastefully done" according to Tameem Antoniades) sex scene.

"Tastefully done". I'm not sure what to think of that. I do trust Tameem to a certain degree but..idk, I'm not sure. Fingers crossed that it isn't gross.
I actually think it would be better to just show it off at E3. If fans feel strongly against it, they might be able to knock it down a little bit in terms of graphic content. NT has taken feedback well upto this point so there's no reason to believe they won't modify a specific scene if their target audience feels strongly against it. =o

in fairness a black coat isnt THAT specific, if i said dante would wear black shoes youd all be like "yh no **** sherlock"
vergil may no necesarily play a major role but i imagine he'll have some impact on the story one way or another
if vergil IS the man in black then you realise hes instantly set up for the role of bad guy. why else would he be hiding his identity from the rest of the order.
and i thought it was more weird that they had an original character be dantes new partner rather than Trish or lady

Dudes why are U so concerned about a sex scene the game is PEGI 18 same as any GTA besides a "sex scene" is not the same as porn, I see no one complainin' about Mass Effect so why would it matter here and if it's so grose you can always skip it, simple as that. I don't expect to see anything more daring than this...

Not really concerned about it being IN the game. But concerned about the fact that it might not really end up well. Plus, to be quite frank, I don't really think scenes like that are required in a stylish ass kicking game like Devil May Cry. But ah well, if it IS in the game, let it NOT be gross. I consider Mass Effect's sex scenes as those. I hate 'em, tbh..

1. a black coat doesn't 100% say this guy is Vergil but it is evidence.
2. giving Vergil a minor role would make even less sense than not including him (of course that doesn't mean it won't happen but it seems unlikely)
3. if Vergil is the leader of the Order than he needs to hide his identity from Mundus' and there is no way for him to be sure that every member of the Order can be trusted. (also nothing has said that no one in the Order knows who the leader is.) so the fact that he is wearing a mask is not evidence that he will be a villain (of course he could still be one but it is equally possible that he will be a good guy this time.)
4. Dante get's a new partner every game (except 4 because it was about Nero.) it is not odd for him to work with someone new this time and there is no one in the original series that would fit the role of the leader of the Order's most devoted follower.
