40Gb PS3 To Be £299 In UK

According to CVG they have heard that when the UK gets the new 40Gb PS3 it will recieve a big price drop to £299. The price of the 60Gb will apparently remain the same but this stripped down version will retail at cheaper than expected and also much sooner than expected. Sony are said to be unveiling this at the same time of Halo 3's launch this week if rumours have any truth to them.

Depends what you want a PS3 for to be honest (Games or DVD's etc), as 40Gb isnt much space and it doesnt come with lots of other things that the 60Gb one does. Would be excellent for a cheap Blu Ray player though.
