Was only the original that was developed by Crytek was it not? If I remember correctly it was actually Ubisoft that evolved Cryteks X-Isle into what became Far Cry. Played some great mods back in 2004/2005.

Actually enjoying the new one more than I thought I would. Cryteks recent track record isnt great to be honest from what I have seen.

Yeah only the first one. Crytek used to be groundbreaking in the FPS genre back in the days, with Far Cry and the first Crysis.

Graphically and engine wise I would agree, never really been able to craft a great narrative however in most games I’ve played of theirs.
