Same. Felt this way for ages. The last game that I recall buying in the last few years and genuinely enjoying was Sonic Mania. Might be worth revisiting some of your old favourites? The Shinobi games on the Mega Drive/Genesis are a go-to for me when boredom strikes.

Last game in terms of release date was probably The Witcher 3 and its expansions, really. After that, the void besides the occasional good time from gems from the past like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

I've been meaning to pick up The Witcher 3 on GOG every time it goes on sale but it's always just a tad out of my budget. How does it compare to Witcher 2? That's the only game in the series I've played but only for about 1-2 hours.

It's an improvement over Witcher 2 in almost everything. CDPR is one of those devs whose games keep getting better and better. Granted, they "only" got three under their belt but still.
