I agree. I though that in modern age, his outfits should be halfway corresponding to it, but her outfit looks like clown without face paint.

Big finish switched his outfit to a darker shade of blue for a couple of series.

I get what @Innsmouth is saying but something dated would work as well. 11's oldtimey proffesor look felt more right than 10's pinstripe suit or 9's jumper or 12's hoodie.
