Gonna be honest, as a big fan of the first two, I thought this recent one was a huge letdown. I was literally praying internally that Marvel wouldn't let the same intrusive levels of humor from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies infect the Thor films, one of the only string of MCU films w/ any actual drama, and they did exactly that.
I would've preferred it if Thor had his doctor alter-ego. I guess people would've accused them of copying House though (because all Marvel movies need humor).
Of course, they go ahead and copy Encino Man instead. I guess they were saving the doctor backstory for Strange, even though I'm sure audiences would've accepted two doctors.
@Teal My favorite bit of the Thor movies was all the on-goings in the world of Asgard, and the other Nine Realms. The space setting here, as visually cool as it is, doesn't mesh well with the previous films at all.
