Whereas it's the exact opposite, they don't attack if they ain't framed by the camera and using that advantage has been a well known viable tech to do no damage runs for years.

The only enemies that I can remember that do that are the Chimera Blades in 4, or did I remember that wrong?

Enigmas attacked off-screen in DMC3, too. Honestly, the camera makes that entire game a nightmare since they decided to speed up combat/enemy movements from 1&2, without really changing anything else.

For Enigmas it was logical, they are after all sneaky, literally backstabbing, bastards.

No, wait, I got them mixed up with Soul eaters, but then again they are all sneaky bastards, they are demons after all.
