@Steve Powell@Blackquill See that's the reason why I said he deserves more spotlight. I'll just say, watch the Undisputed series. He's one hell of a badass action actor.
@Viper Why so? Tony Jaa's managed to build a reputation for himself recently, coming from the underground basically. Adkins already has a good base, with some more recognition by directors he would be a hit for sure I think.
Considering the trends, I honestly think this is not the era of action actors. There are action heroes in movies, but it's the character that gets famous most of the time, rather than the man playing him.
Even my mom heard about Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, Jean-Claud van Damme, etc... whereas Tony Jaa would just invoke blank stares from anyone I know.
Chuck Norris and those other guys have been around for a long time. Naturally a recent name like Tony Jaa wouldn't turn as many heads as them, ain't a matter of genre popularity. I don't see how that comparison makes a lot of sense.
But my post was about rewarding talent, not about how trendy martial arts movies are these days. I think Scott Adkins is too overlooked for how good he is, that was my point. Yeah he's got another Undisputed movie coming out soon but i wish he was in more flicks.
