There were actually two Italian actors that I enjoyed a lot as a kid. I knew them by the names of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, though only recently did I learn that those were only their screen names. They usually played buddy comedies and were funny as hell. I still find them enjoyable, although in more grown up type of way.
Their movies were mostly subtitled in Albanian, my native language. Though due to their American-sounding screen names, I genuinely believed that they were American and that their movies just happened to have Italian dubs over them. I found out about their real names (Carlo Pedersoli and Mario Girotti) only recently when I got news of Carlo's death.
