Seriously though, even HE knew that he'd be a bad choice.

"I would've f***ed it up"...Don't worry Cliff, Konami already did that for you. :P

I mean...wasn't Kojima VP of Konami during the release of the last 3 Silent Hill games? I could be wrong, but...Vice President's a pretty high position.

He was promoted to Vice President of the Digital Entertainment Branch of Konami in 2011, so that's the last two games I believe. I'm not privy to the inner workings of Konami, but seeing as Silent Hills was dropped like a lead balloon by Kojima's superiors, I'm guessing he didn't have that much influence of the franchise.

Not when his contract as VP expires, he doesn't. But DURING his time as VP? I'm sure he had plenty of power. over some of Konami's big decisions concerning their flagship franchises...Silent Hill very much included.

So what? You saying Kojima's at fault for Silent Hill's downfall? That's a bit of a stretch.

No, it's just that he didn't do much to help it either -- not until pt anyway.

That was when konami decided to can him -- I guess it was because he made a decent demo when they couldn't.

I still hate kojima, but I'll admit that pt was alright.

I'm more concerned with the potential atrocity PT might've been with Kojima's involvement. We're talking about the series' whose narrative literally ENCOMPASSED never explaining itself, and leaving the most terrifying aspects of its philosophy in the shadowy grip of mystery. Putting Kojima, the King of Over-explanatory Exposition, as head of Silent Hill? That's like introducing freshwater fish to the Dead Sea.
