Hey I liked Origins too, it did some things right: Batman badass and imposing personality, Bane depicted as a smarter guy rather than just a brawler, the darker tone, the soundtrack, the batsuit, the new gadgets, the massive amount of DC references...
Only major problems were the glitches and the awful Joker twist.
I liked those things, too. I did like the thing with Joker (cuz just about anything with Joker in it makes me happy), but it was kind of obvious. :S I didn't get many glitches, but the ones I got were major pains, so I definitely agree with you, there. I didn't like multiplayer very much. :/ It seemed...really tacked on, imo. (Like a quick way to boost the achievement/trophy list.)
I more of meant, it's weird that I like the games if the companies are ignoring them. ^^; It's kinda a common thing for me, and it always makes me wonder why the companies ignore games that people are playing and still enjoying. -shrugs- Sorry it didn't come out that way. ^^; Still not fully awake, atm.
@Innsmouth because everytime they talk about the Arkham series, Knight included, they always say"Arkham trilogy", even though they are 4 games, with Origins.
Origins isn't all that bad really. Though it can be tactfully annoying sometimes. I didn't like this version of Batman because I felt he didn't have as much of those subtle drips of dry wits of sarcasm that he had in Arkham City. Origin's Batman seemed too damn serious and kind of an asshole towards people.
The gameplay for it was the same as the past games with a few new gadgets. Honestly the batsuit in Origins was my least favorite of the entire Arkham. Nothing wrong with it, but I prefer the classic Batman outfits like Year One Batman or Dark Knight Returns Batman. I get its armor and all but I can't beat the classics.
Arkham origins is the same as the others no matter what anyone says. Same gameplay, same environment, same mechanics, same, same, same. It's like with DMC and DmC; no matter how it looks, or how it feels, or your own feelings towards the reboot, it's still gonna be Devil May Cry, period. The same can be said for Arkham Origins to the rest of the series.
He was kind of a rookie in Origins compared to City. Understandable that he was rougher. He was still the most imposing and fearsome of the series. I'm glad they kept some of that personality in Knight, you can see in Officer Down trailer how he wanted to leave a memory on that thug's mind by breaking his hand.
Yeah, and that I admit was imposing, but still a small bit of dry wit wouldn't hurt every now and then. But this WAS batman in the beginning stage so obviously he was rough around the edges.
And some of the threats he says to scare thugs and convince them to talk are awesome. In Origins more than any other game in the series, you can see that the criminals are actually scared sh!tless of him.
That's another thing they ported in Knight, in the gameplay videos you can see that thugs sometimes run instead of attacking screaming "It's Batman, run!"
