    But wasnt SH pretty much westernized horror form a get go? It pretty much influenced itself with a lot of western horror movies...

    True but it was told through filters of the Japanese team. One example was the toilets in SH. According to one of the members, the toilets have to do with a Japanese urban legend of a boy who fell inside the toilet and drowned.

    Shh, none of that DMC vs DmC stuff on Christmas eve, it's time to be calm and maybe a little drunk. Unless you're me, I'm silly even without it. XD But really, relax man, have something strawberry flavored and imagine all those dudes in red running around are Dante. Merry Christmas, dude. :)

    I'm so excited for DMC 4: SE. The REAL Vergil returns! Hopefully, it'll set it up for a DMC 5.

    Yeah. I've explained before how that argument doesn't hold up to scrutiny. But then, it's hardly an argument at all, as it isn't substantiated. Two or three people here seem to think that all criticism towards DmC isn't allowed. They'll try to refute/attack it, even when it's a personal view. And when it comes to opinions, they think nobody could hate DmC. Well, many do... as it sold 1.1 million instead of 5.

    Seriously, even if almost every DMC fan hated DmC, it still should've sold more than 1.1 million within the deadline. The goal was 5 million, that went down to 2, then it went down to... 1.3, I think. And it made 1.1. DmC is simply easy to dislike and equally easy to like -- unfortunately, that's not good enough for a Devil May Cry game.

And that coming from a guy who used to be (and probably still is, given the chance) the personification of flaming. I can't take this... I'm taking a longer break for now. See you later!

    Yeah. I find it strange at how much they poke at the classics' flaws. I mean, if it weren't for them, they wouldn't have had their favorite reboot in the universe.

    I honestly don't care about the reboot anymore. Most of my hate goes towards Capcom for splitting a fanbase just because they thought DMC4's sales weren't enough.

    Complaining that classic Dante is too "anime" is like saying that there's too much running in Sonic. DMC was MADE in Japan last I checked.

    Agreed. They like to flip flop. I think most of the pro-DmC never played any of the originals because, from what I've seen, it's mainly newbies that discovered DMC through the reboot and say things against the originals based on YouTube vids that they watched.

    That's very well possible. There's so many people on the internet who bash DMC, but then write DMC3 (for example) as DmC3. They don't even know the proper names of the games they talk about! lol! I think most people here have played the originals, but either don't like them or haven't paid much attention to them. Some of them go to threads just to bash them. Anyway, glad there's still some intelligent people here :p

    I find it strange that they bash the originals when the reboot isn't even 100% perfect. It reminds of RE4 & 5 where it brought in new people that bashed the classics and acted as though those 2 games fixed everything. -sigh; I miss classic Dante. :(
