I don't see it, that are just traits. Yojimbo doesn't just use a Katana like Vergil either, he uses more than one sort. He is a heavily armored spirit summoned by the fayth.
Mythical beings = Almost everything in fantasy games nowadays? A huge generalization.
Respectable amount of skill = Used for many characters that are meant to be BA in games.
Instant kill techniques = Used oftenly as well for the antagonist of a game to show you what power he/she has.
To me that isn't enough to make that much of a similarity since with such generalization many things can be compared with each others. But that's just me.
I once mixed up a boss fight in FFVIII with butter. Every time I started that boss fight I remembered butter. Everytime I think of that boss I relate it to butter. Why did I have to eat bread and butter when I started the boss fight?
