Beileve it or not,Scarecrow and Natas are brother and sister.They were both originally human but when their homeland was in danger,they offered their souls to Merlin and Merlin instead of taking their souls...gave them powers since they were selfless.Scarecrow although got his powers with the price of losing emotion.Merlin sensed that Scarecrow was expecting a reward for saving the homeland,so for that...he took away Scarecrow's emotions.After they saved their homeland,Natas noticed that Scarecrow showed no emotion for saving it.He demaned Merlin to give him back his powers,Merlin felt insulted that a mortal demanded something from him.As punishment,he sealed Natas and Scarecrow into the coin.
