DMC 2 was good

Well majin dt was more like an omen form of Sin dt from 5, and he could only activate it in dire situations. Majin dt was a precursor to sin dt.

Majin dt was what the desperation devil trigger from 2 was called.

It is a different form from sin dt in 5.
But the wiki states it is a sin devil trigger which is why it doesn’t make sense?

It was back then, but it was activated out of desperation. It is not the same dt at all. DMC5 sin dt is it's own thing and is dante's real ultimate dt that comes from combining the rebellion and sparda, and ddt or majin in 2 was something that happened when dante was near death in gameplay.

Aw my head canon is before Dante had it but only came out during desperate situations but after combining swords he can do it at will

Just started replaying this (decided to play the games in chronological order after watching Dmc anime on Netflix) the game isn’t the best but it is pretty fun to play once you master the mechanics. I’m in the process of unlocking everything so I know I’ma be here for awhile

I don't agree, per se, but I know a certain someone who does.

For the record, I do like DMC2 but that comes with an asterisk. The game is boring, rough and charmless. It lacks any of the appeal of the original and definitely shows how incomplete it is. That being said, when its art direction is good it's great. This can, and often is, a great looking game. The music, the art and the designs are most excellent for a PS2 game. That also makes it all the more tragic to see the end product. Everyone wants a 1 or 3 remake. I think 2 needs it more than the rest.

I always got confused that they just randomly added rebellion (and the novels don’t even explain this or at least I think they don’t) but instead of using Alaster (apparently it’s a Veautiful Joe Refence maybe that’s why?) but I like that they got his awesome new personality which we see in DMC3 from shin megami tensei nocturne and it stuck (hmm maybe him crossing over to different worlds changes his perspective?)

I think a remake of 2 with the new re engine, and some quality of life improvements and a move or two added in could make all the difference.
Ya let it explain how Sparda gave Dante and Vergil Rebellion and Yamato, oh and a DLC of Vergil during this account like they did with DMC4 or after the first game, which ever I only say this because it will help with sales
