but he would have to be older because I don't think that fans want another prequel the story needs to start moving forward again it hasn't since DMC2 came outWell actully I would rather have this Dante in the next DMC

Even so just by looking at him there, he has that DMC 2 look on him, even if he doesn't look that old but each game provided a different look and even though nex gen are coming DMC 2 was on the PS2 and he still looked alittle on the young side like around DMC 4 Dante's appearance

Agreed which is why that picture right there would be perfect for the next Dante ^^ also the DMC 3 costume in DmC was just f*ucking stupid to put in my opinion, trying to make a game better than DMC 3 which failed and then using a skin that makes him look more like the Dante we all know and love makes me sick.

Exactly! Why say s*hit like that and the nuse something from the original? Well... seems like they are trying their hardest but overall I'm glad I'm not getting this, I'm going to wait for my DMC 5 the real Devil May Cry. Besides the game has nothing to do with the title anyways.

DMC is prequel about Dante, why not make prequel about Vergil before or after DMC3?

Naah, DmC is not a prequel, actually. It's a reboot. Besides, Dante seems as old as he was in DMC3 (19), so how could it ever be a prequel? Unless it's a prequel in the sense that it establishes an origin story for the new Dante. After DMC3, Vergil got enslaved by Mundus, so I don't expect much of a story in that. Actually, Vergil got enslaved when he was eight, and Dante hadn't seen him since. DMC3 doesn't care about that, though. Vergil got his DT before DMC3, I suppose, so there could be a story in that.

I would actually recommend something like the third generation of Sparda family.About how he discovers about his family heritage.He would also have to compete against his cousins.Devil bringer would be awesome with also something like Inner demon.And his DT should be like him turning in to the dark knight Sparda.

Carry on from DMC2 keeping his look from that as in his face and style but altering his attire a little.Improve the combat DMC4 had adding new moves to the 4 styles and adding and keeping the originals but adding level 5 moves.Allow an equipment screen to choose from , giving 5 melee weapons and 5 firearms to chose , and leaving you chose from older weapons in the series like alastor etc as well as new devil arms you get.Give Dante back doppleganger and quicksilver and have him get back yamato for dark slayer style and expand on it.Give him a new style and grant him the majin form as a special that has requirements to use, not low health. Finally have it come to a final confrontation with mundus on Dantes own power so no sparda sword. Dante kills him and saves and captures vergils soul to find a way to restore his life.
As for Nero go into his origins have him develop his powers to the point he no longer needs yamato to DT.He gives yamato back to Dante and fights up on the surface while Dante is in the demon world. The level design could be reinactments of memories like the sparda family home the night they are attacked, teminigru, mallet island ,dummary and new ones we havent seen as a shout out to the old games . By having the levels as memories or nightmares as its the demon world we could get to see sparda

Just a thought but, Dante going to hell seems WAY TOO predictable and honestly, a bit uninteresting. I mean is Dante going to hell the only Idea that comes to mind with this forum? Is there really no other way to play out a DMC5 besides just throwing Dante into hell?

If they make it come after DMC2 then he kind of has to. Seeing as the timeline goes 3-1-4-2 and he goes to hell at the end of 2, it's logical that DMC5 takes place in hell.

I really hope DMC5 gets developed. The series deserves an actual ending, and Nero deserves to go through change and mature. It would be nice if he actually became as powerful as Dante, because DMC4 sort of ****ed me off saying he's 'not in the same league'. Really... so I'm supposed to like playing as a weakling? And what about the inconsistency between the damage he does in-game vs the cutscenes? And why doesn't he have a Devil Trigger? Why a hovering ghost that looks exactly like the Devil Trigger he was supposed to get? DMC4 is confusing and maddening.
I hope Nero gets to be awesome and gets awesome weaponry. A spear? Yes, please. Or maybe a huge 'summoned spear', instead of the summoned swords. So much fun, just chucking a spear at demons. The Yamato would be used like in DMC3. The Devil Bringer can go get infected and die off, unless there's some way to explain why it even exists.
Like I said, give Nero his original Devil Trigger back. And... maybe an armored DT, sort of like Dante's Dreadnought form. However, this form will look like Nero Angelo, to further illustrate that Vergil is (probably) with him.

Moreover, I'm not sure DMC2 needs to be brought into the mix. I'd rather see Dante act like he always has, because I do not find his change from DMC3 to DMC2 personality believable.
Capcom'll probably have to put one of the games on hold. Can't imagine DmC2 and DMC5 being made simultaneously. Would probably be boring to the staff, as well.

i would prefer to see dante fight mundus on his own power and actually kill him , not seal him like before or else have sparda resurrected with no memories or controlled somehow and have him and dante fight in a cataclysmic battle.

Nobody wants him to 'come back'; he's still there in some way. You can clearly notice that in DMC4 when Nero shouts some of Vergil's catchphrases, uses roughly the same attacks as him, etc etc. He even said 'Jackpot', a word of which Nero should not know the significance. There are many things that suggest Vergil's soul is somehow alive in Nero. That's enough for me - I really don't see the need to bring Vergil back. Not only is it a cliché, it would kind of cheapen his death too.
