It's not cold weather that bothers me, it's day after day of rain and grey sky. A cold day with the sun in the sky is gorgeous. A year of rain and overcast skies like this one isn't.

Having said that, I do wish people would stop talking about the weather where I live. I go into the post office and the first thing said to me is "nice day, isn't it?" whether it's nice or horrible. I go to the deli and the waitress ALWAYS says something about the weather on cue whether its good or bad, and in the exact same tone of voice. I'm starting to wonder if people know how to talk about anything else D8

It's all kinds of wet in my city this year, too. Just the opposite of last year. People here usually say "Have you eat XXX today" to start the talking, and XXX is depends on the time...It's our way to say hello. Maybe the rain is the way God tells you to stay home and play DMC more...:)

I promised myself at some point I'll take a holiday in Austria around Christmas time and see some "real" snow. I've seen Saalbach in summer but I know the winter's where it's at in the mountains. Unfortunately, it'll probably be crawling with tourists thinking the same thing as me so it will be anything but serene.

I like snow, but it's only in the last couple of years living out here in the sticks I've realized what a massive inconvenience it is, and also how dangerous. Driving the car about with snow and ice around here isn't fun. I see myself shooting off a cliff into the sea, going screaming to an inglorious death, every time I get into the car when it's wild out. So when it snows I hope I don't have to go anywhere while it lasts.

= = You surely thought this through... Sounds like you would like it here. Weather changes just fine. But this place is too dusty...

I don't mind overcast skies or the rain. I'm from a city in the US that's famous for getting that weather almost year round yet being the nicest most cheerful city despite it. I'm very used to the weather and can stand living under the "grey ceiling" (as we call it back home) 8 months of the year. Only problem is that I don't live there anymore and that weather depresses everyone, which means I get depressed from having to put up with them all day.

The only weather that I actually hate is when it's windy.

I live in Wisconsin, so snowy weather is apparently a given. Surprisingly, there hasn't been much snow this year yet. It's only snowed twice before Christmas. I don't mind snow, but the temperatures it takes to make snow, however...

Remind my of the The Twilight movie...

About the temperature...you know I prefer winter to summer, the most important reason is that you can wear as many clothes as you want when it's too cold. But you can't take off any more when it's too hot and you're already naked...

I have poor circulation. I'm basically cold blooded. If it gets too cold, I'll freeze. :/

I am from Greece, but I currently live in the U.K.

Concerning the cold, I love it. In Greece you get warm bright days almost all the year so I even appreciate the clouds and rain - as long as it isn't raining on top of me that isXD

Although I would never sunbathe and I don't love the heat, warm sunny days are fantastic for me. I get more work done here at home, the light is better for painting when the sun shines (daylight only; never try to paint artistically under an artificial light, it won't look the same when the daylight comes around), and when it's cold my fingers don't work at all and I can't do anything.

Ever since this was my job I have come to worship the sun. Before that I don't think I noticed whether it was out or not.

So the picture of your sign is one of your work? It's awesome by the way.

It's the same area of the United States. Those movies were filmed in Washington (I only know because my boss wants to visit Forks, Washington because of those movies) and I'm from Oregon. One state south from Washington.

So it's true about how depressing the weather is...
