What are you most excited about? :)

Are you most excited about the gameplay, finding out more about the story and characters, or the settings? Or something else maybe?

Basically, what are you most pumped up about the new game?

the chance for a fresh start with the characters and the hope that i might be able to like dante again. I hated him in 4 and the anime.

well i hated it at first but its getting great everytime i see and yeah the dt blows a$$.the almost endless aerial combos and the weapons i like so far :D

The gameplay must be good and hoping that the new Dante will be more like Nero..
But the storyline is important and should be good as DMC3 at least..

One thing i'm excited for is if Vergil and Sparda will be in the game!

The more Nero-like, aerial based gameplay and the deliciously animated city Dante is going to get to romp around in.

I want to see how dante gain control of his power, and watch as his rational thinking changes when he realizes how powerful he is. I want to see his confidence go sky high since he cant be killed or has ever been scared before. I also want to see him prior to him controlling his powers and see him for the first time in over his head (to him that is) i want to see the style ranking system and what they'll be using for money. Hopefully orb searching will be left out because theres better ways of creating replay value besides that. You could just change enemies on harder difficulties. Maybe the higher the style is after you beat an enemy, the more orbs they can drop. I want to feel the loneliness of being different from everyone else and watch as Dante stuffs it down and mask's it with his attitude. I mostly want to feel how dante feels from combat to emotion

Story. I could care less for the game play because it's basically DMC3/4 all over again. I want to see what they'll do with Dante. For example: Like why does the world seem to be after him, and what's Dante's "beef" with demons this time around.

Honestly, I would like to see Dante's personality become one that is more humility-based. A person that knows his limits and thus is cautious of them, as a rational person would be.

Then again, rational minds are few and far between nowadays, and people prefer the loose-cannon to the cautious mind.

Well that is lies.
I thought people liked variety lawl.

They tried variety with Nero, and that gained Capcom quite a bit of disdain.

Capcom gained disdain because it wasn't Dante. All the emotional crap that made peeps call Nero emo and such for was only because they hate how he replaced Dante for so much of the game.

You didn't know? XD

No, I did know. I said that Capcom tried to add variety with Nero, which is something that garnered them chastisement. I never mentioned the reasons behind it as the facts are solid enough as they are.

Your facts are half to half lying as well. Nero is a loose cannon, so is Dante. With both having emotional moments. Dante showing it less.

Really, you say they are solid enough as they are but I see them as hollow. Just saying the facts are solid doesn't make them solid.

The only reason Nero got hate was because he wasn't Dante. Not because he was in any way different, just that he was a character stealing the spotlight. Like how some react to Ashton Kutcher taking over Charlie Sheen's place in Two and a Half Men or how they suddenly changed main character in Stargate-SG1 or any other TV-series. It has nothing to do with people taking offense to variety, it is people taking offense on how their character they see the series as being repelled by a stranger.
Nothing to do with loose cannons. Saying your facts are solid really made them solid. Your words are like glass, easily shattered. -.-

Couldn't you even say that it wasn't just Dante being replaced, but him being replaced by such a knock off also got fans upset?
