Huh, so what if my opinion was that beds are made of lava? or that the great c'thulu watches over us all? or that toxic gas is fine to breath? it's all my opinion, it's all subjective.
there's a reason you get a professional opinion for things instead of the opinion of some random loser who sleeps all day.
opinions are not something that are beyond attack.
including my own.
i've tried to make a statement here rather then an attack, i shall see how this plays out.

Exactly what I keep telling people. But it's like people think that 'if I can think of more arguments for my opinion than someone else, that must mean my opinion is right and theirs is wrong!', which is just ridiculous. Opinions don't work on some kind of point-based reward system. I don't care if people have one reason to dislike new/old Dante or one hundred. Just because they keep droning on doesn't make them right.
On the other hand, what people don't seem to understand is that sometimes opinions are based on falsehoods and half-truths, and when you point out their mistakes, they say you're just 'a DmC hater' or like to think your opinions are right. It's not about your opinions, it's about the facts and ideas that lie beneath them. Seriously.

That's not how opinions work. An opinion is how you feel about a certain fact, it's not something you can make up. You can't have the 'opinion' that beds are made of lava; it's either true or it isn't - as in, is it a fact or not? A bed being made of lava or not is not subjective!
As for belief in god(s), that is not an opinion, it is a belief.
I agree, though, that opinions are not beyond reproach. Especially if you think a belief is the same as an opinion.

I'll like most things consider "geeky" or "not girlie". But, you know what? Who cares what I like and buy? I like DMC and DmC both. Dose that make me a traitor? It does? ASININE. I'm a girl and I like comics and some ecchi. Dose that make me fake and not girlie? It dose? As-i-nine! Because if that is how people are going to treat me so be it. I'm just going to play DMC, eat me pocky and read the lastest manga! Because

I mean, how hard is it to walk over to your colleague in accounting and ask them if they have received the quarterly reports rather than telling a client that they need to write to so and so then call them to check then ring back quoting reference number blah dee blah within 14 working days?

I am extremely sick of people constantly bringing down me and my characters for being abnormal. But god dammit, I LIKE abnormal! Slime-jackaless in a rubber suit? Abnormal, but awesome. Dragon character with no face but a mouth? Not normal, but he still functions and is a total sweetheart, so why should appearance matter that much? And someone had the nerve to go off on me for having a character who is a dragon with a humanoid upper body and a four legged lower body, because apparently since mythology never had dragontaurs, I can't have them either. Goddamn...

Yeah. Just remember that even if you get annoyed by all the fighting between people from the 'DmC side' or 'DMC side', never forget that they don't matter to you. You play these games for yourself, and if somebody likes to counter your opinion with their own, who cares? I'm not saying you should always ignore people's opinions, but there's no use in getting disinterested in DMC (or DmC) just because people fight over it. I know you take it pretty hard, but don't let them spoil anything. The individual is the most important, not the group - that is why I like liberalism more than communism or socialism too. Progressive liberalism FTW (at least, in my country the Netherlands, that is).
I still remain hopeful about a possible DMC5, and I won't lose hope until it's been confirmed that DMC has been replaced by DmC. At that point, it's a lost cause anyway. I will never support DmC, but I won't 'boycott Capcom' either, lol.

Did you know back in my early school days, my homeroom teacher back in the day scolded/reprimanded the entire class? You know how I reacted? I cried like a baby! I got too empathic! Even in high school (although different teacher, not homeroom)... I was so afraid...
Even up til now, I take things too personally, which is I am sick of myself being that! Yeah! I can hate myself too, sometimes! But it doesn't mean I'm angsty or emo!
I actually got disinterested not just because of those 'sides' but because of both having their own legitimate flaws. All I see are things that are like oil and water which can't really mix!

Wow, sorry, man. We can't change who we are, but then, maybe that's not a bad thing. Everyone finds the right person, everyone finds the right situation to be in. You are no doubt in the right place. We all contribute to the status quo in our own way, and sure, there's downsides to how you feel sometimes. Same goes for me. Sometimes people find me too apathetic or cynical. But most of the time, it all works out in the end. I feel like I'm getting sentimental or floaty in my 'old age', but I feel like the show Babylon 5 (and other things) have some truth to it... we are exactly where we need to be. The universe works in mysterious ways. The universe puts us in places where we can learn. 'The universe' mainly meaning people's attraction and repulsion to you.
And your class was lucky to have you, because punishment like that isn't fair, and I think in your own way, you showed that through your emotions.
DmC or DMC is probably going to replace the other. That's sad, but it's not our fault. Capcom made the stupid decision to reboot the series without ending it first (and not doing their homework on what most fans want). And even if one is abandoned, the other will remain. It could always be worse.

I have to strongly yet respectfully disagree about DMC or DmC trying to replace the other. But I do agree Capcom making bad decisions, such as rebooting too soon or even retconning DMC1's story with DMC3 in which DarkSlayerZero said (he made a good point), the other reason of me getting disinterested in the franchise. I am afraid to say that they have jumped the shark already with DMC2 and even DMC4; so it's not just DmC... So the only good DMC games are DMC1 and DMC3.
DMC2 by Hideki Kamiya/Team Little Devils would've been something else rather than the actual DMC2 we see now. Did you know that?
