Oh absolutely :) The dialogue gives the reader an utmost feeling of being there itself. Intriguing to read, and a delight may I say :)

Sorry, I am late but basic internet access has been... problematic to say the least.

Chapter VIII: The Clearing

Chajus had been practicing the powers that the Order of the Magi used a foundation for intricate spells. Powers could be used to combine spells simultaneously, form new spells and more. The powers were not spells themselves, spells had an effect on something in the manifest world, powers on the other hand affected the energies of the feyworld.
The feyworld was a place that did exist physically, but unlike the manifest world, it was not suitable to the living of humankind. It was home instead to a motley variety of magical creatures: wyrms, wyverns, trolls, ogres, werewolves, ghosts, deities, and the like.
Ajelya was sitting in the forest, as an array of wondrous colours filled the sky.

Dyshthale was far into the wood, the dew was falling from the gold rimmed leaves and a gentle sun ensured that the dew sparkled in its slow descent towards the floor. The place was filled with all kinds of animals. They were all gentle, beautiful and proud creatures. It was as if the follies of war were acknowledged by these majestic creatures and so they ran away from it, sacrificing all that they knew to live a life of quiet contemplation.

Dyshthale was in a clearing, the open space wore a coronet of a golden cloud overhead, mirroring all notions of jocundity. Dyshthale lost herself to an overpowering joy that was also awash with the awe that the place itself instilled. She found herself dizzy, as if she was flying through a series of celestial lights coloured by the rich array of unadorned beauty that the wood possessed. Then she blacked out. She heard a voice inside her head, it was profoundly dark and sinister, the celestial lights became vats of pitch, the rich unadorned beauty became smoke and fire amidst the cold clash of stone and metal. Cold eyes met hers and their gaze was long, unblinking, searing into her heart and plucking out all feeling. She felt numb, paralysed by a fear that would not end. The world came rushing back after a moment, she caught flash glimpses of bones on her way back to reality, she knew it then. The cloud was a counterbalance, something terrible had happened here.

Crying, she ran back to the outpost, she saw L’hargerith and she sobbed “That clearing, what happened?!”
“The clearing, oh, you saw it. I thought that gold cloud would stop this, years ago, the Ysevtin attacked, it was a short battle but one filled with the most vehement hatred you could imagine, swords were bent, magic waned, shields weakened, we killed them with blunt swords, as you can imagine, that is very painful, we wanted to defeat them quickly but fate was against that, ever since then, the clearing has been a place for mother nature alone, warring people’s trespass at their peril.”
“So you_”
“We do what we have to, nothing awaits any who go there, only a moment of bliss for an eternity of misery.”
“Is there no way that the two counterbalances can be exaggerated so that they banish each other and leave that otherwise beautiful place in a state of spiritual normality?”
“Not that we know of for certain, for the time being, it must remain like it is.”
Dyshthale thought back to her dreams, the serpents, maybe they knew of such a power, they knew something of value. She could sense it.
The serpents were allies to humanity in times of need but they were also elusive and when they were found they were likely to speak in riddles.
She would have to have her wits about her in the encounter, she would prepare for the day.
She made good on this promise to herself, reading voluminous volumes of books into their enigmatic ways, general bestiaries, riddles, rhetoric and everything else that she thought would be helpful. Once more she felt cold eyes upon her.

Chapter IX: The Villain

O’rhochi’s body was now overcome with the hatred of Yujna’s wrathful spirit. The light of hope had left him. His body felt like it was aflame; his senses were all in absolute anguish and his thoughts were blocked from the forefront of his own brain and pushed into the back by the more powerful will of Yujna. O’jna, the villain, had been born.
O’jna proceeded out of the chamber and into the streets of the capital. The capital was awash with a great deluge that had seemed to have endured for a few days without relent. O’jna proceeded into the town square where he had, as O’rhochi formerly slain both his opponent and his master. Several students of Uifos were there. Angered, they drew their swords and tried to rush him. Their efforts were in vain as O’jna retained O’rhochi’s former skill with the rapier. They all lay with their eyes wide in surprise and their throats slit by O’jna’s blade. Their last choking moments were a great pleasure to O’jna, who grew stronger with every agony of humankind. Making his way out of the area he saw a woman. “I know who you are…Yujna.” She said, her voice was cold.
“And you are?” O’jna demanded.
“I am the reason you exist, at least… in a sense.”
“Enough with the riddles or I’ll kill you right here.”
“Interesting, you really don’t remember do you?”
“What is it I’m supposed to remember?”
“Heh, you’ll find that out in due time.” With that she disappeared.
“Wait!” He shouted albeit to no avail. “Never mind, the time will come soon. If mankind are as easy to manipulate as they were before, the Ysevtin will rule this realm. The Order of the Magi are all smaller in number and Endynash is trapped for now. The shadows are conducting themselves well. I’m also sure that we will meet again… Iritha.”

Realisation had dawned on him. The woman was Iritha, her real objectives were said to be always shrouded in mystery but she only appeared when a great revelation in the timeline was at hand. Was it Yujna’s resurrection that had called her into this realm? Regardless, O’jna knew that she acted through manipulation. To treat her every word with suspicion would be prudent. Many a fool had followed her words to their ruin. O’jna could not comprehend what she might be planning but it often resulted in anguish for the victim. In her plots, there was always a victim.

Unlike with children’s tales, the most beautiful of women were the most dangerous. The harridans seldom had two pennies to rub together and even more seldom found was a harridan who had used what little money they had for an education. True, they were helped all through their life by a multitude of anti-poverty institutions, also encouraging them to contribute in whatever way they could to the society, thus perpetuating the human utopia. He knew that the poor were no real threat and, though it was naïve to completely equate beauty and wealth, it was true that the physiques of many of the wealthy were blissfully free of blemish, the poorer classes could not afford to aim for aesthetic perfection as most of their worries were entirely practical but easily resolvable due to the aid they were given. Thus utopia was not lost, even though the classes were separated.
O’jna bit his lip in irritation. Iritha’s intervention had made him forget his thought set. Reconsidering his plan, he thought it would be advisable to draw the creatures of the abyss to him. With their aid, he would be able to crush the Order of the Magi with a single swift stroke. Man’s days were growing numbered.

Chapter X: The Relic

Dyshthale, now wary of the accursed clearing stayed clear of the area. She had almost completely forgotten the trauma which it had instilled in her. She saw a snake slithering away. Remembering her dreams, she began to follow it. Apparently sensing that it was being followed, the snake began to move a lot faster, causing Dyshthale to run in order to keep the snake in sight. Her heart began to race, however the running was beginning to take its toll as she developed a stitch. Cursing under her breath, she managed to keep up for a while but he eventually lost her quarry.
Dyshtale was now deep within the wood. The sun was warm on her neck but an eldritch presence lurking nearby sent an icy chill running down her spine. She heard a shout from in the distance and it sounded familiar. She ran towards the location of the shout but stopped in her tracks when she saw what was there. Endrynash was there but he was surrounded by the all-consuming shadow that he had kept at bay for them. She started to back away, Endrynash’s face was filled with agony. Endrynash looked up at her and shouted “Run!”
Not hesitating, she fled the area and back to the outpost.

When she arrived at the outpost Elherral asked her what had happened as he saw the shocked look in her eyes.
“I saw Endrynash!”
“Was he alive?”
“Yes, he was.”
“But?”
“But, well, he was surrounded by the shadow he had kept at bay for us when we fled here.”
“Damn, the accursed shadows have been a scourge to this world since Yujna, the wroth introduced them to this world over eight hundred year ago. They are immortal and they consume all they come across, land, sea, air, plants and animals.”
“So they can’t be beaten?”
“Wait, my child, I said immortal, not invincible.”
“So they can be beaten?”
“Yes, but it would be difficult, they are amongst the foulest of the foul. Devious, powerful and completely unscrupulous, facing one alone can be likened to suicide.”
“Well, there are enough of us aren’t there?”
“Probably, however it is not a risk I wish to take just yet.”
“Just yet? Endrynash is trapped, Yujna may have rose again, O’rhochi is probably on a killing spree, yet you think this is not urgent enough a time to act?!”
“Hear me out, soon it will be revealed what Iritha is planning, acting before that time may make any of us her next victim.”
Dyshthale had been reading and she knew of the machinations of Iritha and so nodded grimly before walking away.
Chajus and Ajelya were relieved to see that Dyshthale was alright. After she told them of the encounter with Endrynash and the shadow, following both stories with the conversation that she and Elherral had had, Chajus spoke:
“Unbelievable, they are amongst the Order of the Magi and yet they won’t lift a finger to save their leader.”
“They aren’t magi!” Dyshthale almost shouted.
“Regrettably, they are, Dysh.” Said her mother.

“Oh come on, just because they’re dressed that way doesn’t make them any more magi than me standing in the wood makes me a tree!”
“Yes but__” Her father tried to calm her down but was cut off.
“The Order of the Magi is the first and best defence humanity has against the Ysevtin, supposedly brave and knowledgeable. It is unthinkable that they would abandon Endrynash to that fate.” Dyshthale said with great conviction.
“I have something that may help” Said Chajus
“What do you have?” Dyshthale asked.
Chajus smiled and produced an arrow identical to that which Endrynash had used to stay the accursed shadow before.
“But that’s…How’d you___?” Dyshthale was lost for words.
“I found it, inside the outpost. You don’t suppose they have a whole collection of these do you?”
“I don’t think so.” Said Dyshthale
“I think it’s about time we found out what’s really going on.” Chajus said decisively.

Chapter XI: The Purge of The Capital

O’jna’s name had become synonymous with anguish in the captital. He wielded his sword and magic with such mastery that those who dared to stand against him were quickly dispatched. With every man, woman and child that he slew, his power increased threefold. The streets were awash with gore and the wreckage that had been left in his wake. Some did manage to run away, O’jna did not bother persuing them. This was where he would call all the creatures under his command to him. Stabbing the ground, he used his right hand to feed impure energy into it. The streets were laid barren, the sky was grey and the smell of death and decay were omnipresent.

“Darkness once came to the world,
Unto the world came darkness to counter the light,
The light that never knew doubt,
It shall know nothing but uncertainty,
Bleak vistas of realities unknown to even the celestial bodies,
Borne of capriciousness,
The precepts of candour will fail,
The knelling bells that toll the folly of humans,
They shall sound amidst eons of anguish,
The precept keeper will be disenchanted,
In its disillusionment it shall press the human domain into oblivion,
God and Goddess weep as their sons and daughters flee in forms defying all order,
For every balance an imbalance has to occur,
‘Tis the price of progress,
The realities shall unfold,
So cruel they freeze the veins of men,
The abyss’ mouth will open,
Swallowing all joy.”
That prophecy echoed in his head. A single obsessive force, driving him and around him a myriad darkness clutched to him, the streets were transformed into a labyrinthine maze of odious, fleshy tunnels, completely void of light, as to beguile any intruder and to frighten off weaker souls.

Chapter XII: The Revelation

Dyshthale looked at the relic in front of her with a dark look. There was more to it than first met the eye, the air around it seemed to become warped and twisted as it reacted under her scrutiny. Chajus was pacing around with his arms behind his back. The outpost, once a place that could have been the embodiment of candour had become a dark enigma. Nightfall came over the forest and lightning lashed the night air as down from the heaven came a fierce deluge.
They settled down for sleep. Chajus concealed the arrow under a spare robe. Their sleeping was intermittent as the anxiety they felt haunted their dreams. Dyshthale once again felt the cold eyes on her. Waking up she sat up with a start and there was L’hargerith his eyes were cold and scrutinising, he smiled a cold smile.
“You!” Dyshthale shouted, the others woke up, seeing the intruder, Chajus ran at L’hargerith but he became rooted to where he was after the second step he took. L’hargerith produced a knife from his robe and took hold of Dyshthale, the knife was dangerously close to her throat. She could feel the cold aura that surrounded the fine of the blade.
“You are all coming with me, if you value the life of your daughter, you will co-operate.” His voice was bereft of any human emotion.
“Why are you doing this?” Ajelya demanded.
“Why? Ha, you seek to make a fool of me, you shall hear soon enough, but not now. We leave in silence. Disobey to your own peril.”

They left the outpost progressed into the labyrinthine woods of Honeybrew in the dead of night. The creatures of the night showed themselves in both majestic and terrifying array. They progressed onwards until they reached a place deep in the woods. It appeared to be an abandoned camp site, a small log fire was in the centre with a dozen or so tents surrounding it. L’hargerith stretched out his free hand and the fire roared to life. The flames went from yellow to blue.
“Chajus, throw the arrow into the flame!” L’hargerith said.
“Why?” Chajus demanded.
“So you and your family will be free to go.”
“Come off it, Lhargerith, we know you’re not going to let us go. Where’s your cousin, where’s Yaela?”
“Right here” Said a voice from the shadows. Yaela emerged from the wood and into plain view.
“So L’hargerith’s the escort guard and you are the executioner.” Chajus said, enraged.
“You still don’t know, do you?” Yaela asked
“Know what?”
“You are to be my victims.”
“Iritha!” Dyshthale shouted
Yaela nodded calmly.
“Chajus and Ajelya, you have a perceptive daughter but perception alone is not enough to stop this storm.
“We’re not dying here!” Chajus shouted.
“No, you’re not going to die. What you will be… is ruined; your lives will serve to empower O’jna the villain. In other words, you will be subjected to anguish beyond anything your worst nightmares could ever conjure up.”
“O’jna?” Dyshthale asked.
“Yes, the spirit of Yujna now inhabits the body of O’rhochi. There is no stopping such a powerful destructive force, for you at least.”
“You will be free to go but your paths will be shackled to the path I have intended for you. Now, Chajus complete the failure of The Order of The Magi by casting the arrow of purification into the flames.”
“Or else?” Chajus demanded
“Or else L’hargerith will cut your daughter’s throat. What will you do, save your daughter or try in vain for humanity’s redemption.”
“Throw the arrow!” The voice was that of Endrynash.
“Endrynash!” Iritha cried “You’re alive?”
“And well thank you. Now Chajus throw the arrow”
“Chajus, threw the arrow but no sooner had it touched the flames than a brilliant azure light pillar sprung to the heavens and out emerged Endrynash holding two arrows of purification.

“How is this possible?” Iritha demanded.
“Luck seemed to favour me. Using the power of the order released the arrow from its confines in the shadow realm. From there I stayed here waiting for the other arrow to resonate with this one. The storm of tonight was caused because you were unknowingly all in the shadow realm. The resonating arrows purified the foul shadow and now I am free, you have no place here Iritha!” And with that he threw the arrows at her, one after the other. The first arrow pierced Iritha’s throat, the other sunk into her left shoulder. Staggering back in shock, Iritha vanished. Seeing this, L’hargerith fled. It was evident he feared Endrynash’s power
“Is she dead?” Asked Chajus
“No, she can’t be.” Endrynash replied.
“Why not?” Dyshthale demanded.
“O’jna still exists, therefore her foul conspiracy still lives, and so does she.”
“Endrynash, if we were all in the shadow realm, how was it that we could not see you and how was Iritha unaware of it?”
“You couldn’t see me because we were on separate parts of the realm, similarly, if we were on the far sides of Honeybrew, you wouldn’t see me either. Iritha was unaware of the realm she was in because at night the shadows and the real world are completely indistinguishable. You can’t see your shadow at night, the same principle applies.”
“But you were right next to where we were.”
“No, not next to, I was on top of where you were. The arrow Chajus had to hand broke the seal of the shadow world when it reacted with the arrow I had released.”
“Can we at least rest a while now?” Asked Dyshthale.
“You knew it was L’hargerith, didn’t you?” Endrynash asked her.
“I have felt a very cold gaze upon me recently; I didn’t know it was him at first.”
“Never mind, you’ll know everything for the next encounter.”
“You mean, we’ll come across him again?” Ajelya asked worriedly.
“Definitely, he has tried hard to supplant me for a long time; I didn’t think he would sink to such depths to do it though. It is unthinkable that he won’t hinder us again. Fortunately, hindering is all he can do, his powers are not yet enough to stop me, that was why he fled. O’jna however will be altogether different scenario. Yugna’s spirit is ferocious and unrelenting. On top of this, O’rhochi’s skill with both blade and magic are very formidable. We should head to Ilksei, the land of the Ysevtin”
“Ilksei, what’s there?” Chajus asked.
“Remember I told you about the Ysecryst. Well, we weren’t actually able to destroy it. That was why we had to systematically execute them. Destroying it would have killed them all instantaneously.”
“So you think we could destroy it now?” Dyshthale asked.
“I think you can.” Endrynash replied
“How?” Dyshthale asked.
“I need you to recall and write down your dreams from now on. The cold glare should leave now that L’hargerith will be loathed to risk an encounter with me. What takes its place will no doubt provide a key leading to its destruction.”
“So you think…?”
“No, I know, you, Dyshthale are beyond perceptive. Your unconscious self unlocks a power most useful, a glance at Iritha’s mind. This is not to be confused with precognition, you see the future as she would have it, but, as we can be aware of what she is planning, we can put a stop to it, therefore it is not precognition. Precognition is predicting the actual future, a gift that is very rare, even among deities.”
“It’s still a long way to Ilksei and I don’t want my daughter to be put in danger” Ajelya said.
“I can’t make any promises except I will protect you all with my life.” Endrynash replied.
“We can stock our provisions back at the outpost.” Chajus said.
“So it’s settled then.” Responded Endrynash.
“I hope this will work.” Dyshthale sighed.

I'll read the new parts :)

But first... I know how you are grammar wise and such....

So... Here's the part in which you'll have to edit in Chapter X.

Dyshtale was now deep within the wood. The sun was warm on her neck but an eldritch presence lurking nearby sent an icy chill running down her spine. She heard a shut - I know it is suppose to be shout :)

And I hope you don't find it annoying of me to point this out to you :)
