Characters;
- Dante

DmC-Devil-may-Cry-%C2%A9-2012-Capcom-620x350.jpg

Our Main character. Our Hero. Dante is the child of both an angel and demon, the latter most likely being Sparda, and seemingly hunts down other demons in the twisted shadows of Limbo City, while slowly coming to grips with his ethereal powers. Dante grew up in various institutions, orphanages, youth correction facilities, and foster homes, but these were mostly operated by demons, and often resulted in torture and violence. Dante has therefore developed a deep hatred of demons and authority in general, but tries to stay incognito.

He is counted by the officials of his hometown of Limbo City as a member of an orginization of "terrorists" and is being persued by both national and worldwide authorities. Dante himself is a young and rebellious social outcast. He lives and fights in Limbo City, where demons seemingly influence every aspect of the world and the social condition of the humans living there. He lived at a pier carnival reminiscent of Coney Island before a demon pulled his trailer into the ocean.

And is a known Sexual deviant.

- Kat;

KatClose.jpg

Kat is a former runaway that joined The Order very early in her life. She is a medium and a gifted psychic who can see into Limbo, the demon realm, but not directly interact with it in the way that Dante does. She is the right hand girl of the Leader of The Order and devotes her very life to him, often putting herself in grave danger to gather intelligence from Limbo.
There is a sweet innocence about Kat’s world view and logic, but when it comes to her specialist subject, the demon realm, she is an undoubted expert. Kat is The Order’s ‘eyes and ears’ and is tasked with guiding Dante on his mission through Limbo.

- Mundus;

Mundus.jpg

"Me; a God, vs. You; a piece of sh*t?!"

Demon King and grand-high Devil. Mundus is a Banker, who has control over virtually everyone and everything through corporate manipulation and debt.

- Bob Barbas;

830px-Bob_Barbas.jpg

News anchor for Raptor News. Bob is a texbook hero-hater. He seems to be a devot Christian and feels that he is doing "God's work" by publically intimidating and demonizing Dante and the other "terrorists".

- Vergil;

tumblr_mff48fM93T1s194lro1_500.jpg

"Citizens, Face your Demons."

Leader of The Order, and twin brother of our protagonist, Dante.

- Lilith

tumblr_mbts61bRbA1ryfipvo1_1280.jpg

Owner of the popular nightclub Devil's Dalliance, and girlfriend of Demon king, Mundus.

- Phineas

Phineas.jpg

Little is known of Phineas at this point, suspected to be a Merchant of some sort.

- Sparda

SpardaDamaged.jpg

An extremely powerful demon himself, Sparda, father of twin brothers Dante and Vergil, once worked alongside Mundus as his right hand and most trusted lieutenant during the former's rise to power over 9,000 years prior.
During that time, Sparda fell in love with an Angel, who subsequently birthed twin sons, Dante and Vergil. Seen as an act of betrayal to the demonic cause, Sparda was counted as a traitor, and disappeared through as-of-yet unknown events. While not existing in a physical form, Sparda is seemingly able to contact his sons to "hire" them, seeking their help in saving Limbo City.

- Eva

DanteEva.jpg

Little is known of Eva, the late mother of Dante and Vergil. Once a lover of Sparda, Eva was killed when Dante was just a boy.

Bosses;
- Poison

LOQfS.jpg

The secret ingredient behind the success of Virility.

Factions;
- The Order

Led by Vergil, and funded with his amassed fortune, The Order seeks to combat the demons by bringing their evil deeds to light, making numerous Anonymous-style videos warning humanity of the invisible hand manipulating them, and taunting the demons outright. Vergil acts as the mouthpiece during these videos, wearing a mask like the one in The Order's logo, and with a distorted voice.

- Raptor News Network

The Raptor News Network is a news broadcasting network in Limbo City that reports on various topics relating to the aforementioned city as well as the world at large. It also serves as a very powerful tool in the Demons' arsenal, frequently abusing it's mainstream status to demonize Dante as well as other affiliates.

Weapons;
- Rebellion

394px-New_Rebellion_DmC.jpg

It was given to Dante as a memento of his father, Sparda, so that he could protect himself from the demonic hoards that he battles. It also has the ability to shift into different weapons on the fly, allowing Dante to use multiple weapons.

Rebellion is a bluish silver-colored claymore. The blade is long and double-edged, with the forward-facing edge curving outward to form the guard. When it is used to attack, it leaves a white streak behind in its wake.

- Ebony & Ivory

830px-New_Ebony_and_Ivory_DmC.jpg

Ebony & Ivory are Dante's trademark pair of personally customized, semi-automatic pistols, designed to rapidly fire bullets instilled with demonic power.

- Osiris (Angelic arsenal)

Osiris_Render.png

Osiris is a large, but light Scythe with a light blue hue to it. The blade is long and curved, coming off the tip of the shaft. The shaft itself looks to be made out of wood, and it has two handles protruding from opposite ends that resemble whittled branches. Dante uses these handles to help him spin the weapon while he attacks. The pommel on the bottom of the shaft looks to be made of a dark-colored metal. When it is used to attack, it leaves behind a light blue streak in its wake, similar to the color of the weapon.

- Arbiter (Demonic arsenal)

Arbiter_Render.png

Arbiter is an over-sized Battleaxe made of dark reds and blacks. The red blade is large and curves over some of the shaft as many bearded axes do. The grip is very nondescript as metal handle. Whe it is used to attack, it leaves behind a dark red streak in its wake, and an eruption of red and orange sparks as it hits the ground.

Abilities;
- Double Jump
- Angel Stance
- Demon Stance
- Angel/Demon evade/teleport
- Devil Trigger

1f358310.jpg
Unlike previous games, a Devil Triggered Dante does not become a Demon, instead he takes on an appearance that many an old fan will recognise. The Devil Trigger state lasts as long as the player can remain in the air, juggling all enemies around them.
Difficulty Settings;
Easy, Normal, and Hard are available from the beginning.

Dante Must Die - Contains the strongest enemies and insane attack waves

1. Calling Osiris and Arbiter "angelic/demonic Rebellion" are not accurate as we do know they are completely seperate from Rebellion itself. We could be using a different human stance weapon and still be using Osiris and Arbiter if we so desired.
2. Parrying has been confirmed to be in the game, I believe.
3. I could be wrong of course. However I do remember someone posting a video in a thread and indicating a time frame of where Dante is shown doing nothing else but Stinger.

Overdrive is also confirmed KenKen! :)

EDIT: He already listed it, lol

And I also entered to correct you on the "Angelic Rebellion" thing, they're seperate weapons.

Great compilation!
Shouldn't there be more details on the weapons? Like their abilities and back stories or if they are Demon/Angel weapons?

Also, this really needs to be stickied by one of the moderators. Anything this important, detailing everything known about DmC should be put to the top of the DmC forum for any newcomers.

788Masri

I'm just some guy who really like Devil May Cry
i think you shud add something on his devil trigger

something like this
dantedt.png

unlike in past games DT dante does not become a demon. instead he takes on an appearance more akin to the old Dante. how long this transformation lasts has not been revealed yet. however from gameplay we can tell that when Dante activates his trigger all enemies are sent flying back. most into the air. at the same time a "bullet time" activates. enemies fall in slow mo while he remains normal. allowing a lot of damage to be dealt while enemy is incapacitated.

MilkmyDragon

Well it sure isn't going to milk itself...
