Costume Guide
Here is a lowdown of all costumes that appear in the game. Costumes marked with a ! are Special Edition Exclusives
Costumes:
Dante
Dante: The standard initial costume
Coatless Dante: The model used for Dante in mission 1 where he is without his coat. Selectable after beating the game once
DMC1 Dante: Dante as he appeared in the first game. Dante here wields Force Edge, though it operates just the same as Rebellion. He can also change into Sparda for a Devil Trigger. This can be unlocked by beating the game on Normal mode
Coatless DMC1 Dante: This is merely DMC 1 Dante without his coat, looking somewhat similar to the Demo version of the first game. It is unlocked on normal mode
Legendary Dark Knight (Sparda): Sparda as he appears in a younger human form. His shadow is in the shape of his demon form and wields Force Edge but it operates just like Rebellion. This can be unlocked by beating the game on Hard mode. It essentially replaces Dante with the Sparda skin, and does not operate any differently
Super Dante: A powered up version of Dante that possesses unlimited Devil Trigger though consumptive abilities such as DT Flux and Quicksilver and Doppelganger still drain the gauge. The model used is Dante after mission 7 of the game with the sleeve ripped off. This is unlocked by beating the game on Very Hard mode (Dante Must Die in the original)
!Super Legendary Dark Knight: The true Sparda and the ultimate costume for Dante. LDK possesses true unlimited DT and can stay in Demon form indefinitely and can use consumptive abilities as many times as the player wants. This costume is unlocked by beating the game on Dante Must Die mode.
Vergil
!Vergil: The standard version of Vergil. He must be unlocked in the North American version
!Coatless Vergil: Pretty self explanatory. This costume is unlocked after beating the game on Normal mode. He appears without his coat, simply put
!Corrupted Vergil (Nelo Angelo): Vergil after succumbing to Mundus' influence. His Devil Trigger is that of Nelo Angelo and his entire moveset changes accordingly and all close-range attacks are dark-aligned. As a bonus, Nelo Angelo is less effected against knockback moves and heals faster than LDK. The only disadvantage is that Vergil only gets a partial speed boost. This costume is unlocked after beating the game on Hard mode
!Super Vergil: A powered up version of Vergil with unlimited DT but consumptive abilities such as DT Flux and Spiral Swords still drain energy. This costume is unlocked after beating the game on Very Hard
!Super Corrupted Vergil (Super Nelo Angelo): The true Nelo Angelo and surpasses the Super LDK. This one has true unlimited DT. This costume can be unlocked by beating the game on VMD mode. This might as well be the ultimate costume obtainable in the game as it makes you feel like a king
