This might not even be a contest in Capcom's mind

It's nooooooooooooooooooooooot. Only dumpy fools with their self-worth tied up in the success of video games make them compete with other video games.

We get games! Yay! That's cause to...

Exactly. Who gives a **** who wins really.

Either way, we're getting two enhanced two versions of Devil May Cry! Which means more for us.

Well, I honestly can't be sure. I can't be sure of anything, since I don't work at Capcom as a CEO or anything.

But yeeeeees...
(I apologize in advance XD)

SPARTAN-1000

NO PAIN NO GAIN
I would love to see Vergil toy around with Nero and kick his ass , to see how different his style is from Dante
when fighting Nero

I just want to see the reveal trailer now.. Hopefully it comes this weekend at Jump Festa, but I'm not getting my hopes up because Capcom rarely reveals DMC related things there .. According to some Gaf Insider they have been working on DMC4 SE for a while now (please confirm Greg?)

I really hope that is true , but by summer did they mean release date or reveal trailer
We have not gotten a proper dmc game since 2008 , and i have not been hyped for a game this much in a long time

What if Nero Angelo was a separate entity that kept Vergil subdued and then after Mundus destroyed them, it only destroyed Angelo and sent it to Fortuna with fragments of Vergils desires and memories, while Vergil himself broke free? What if Vergil is the one keeping that war in Demon world so long and heated?

What if Vergil actually beat Mundus? I mean they both "died" and went to the same place. Vergil is free now and quite possibly got his powers amplified by Mundus through the events of becoming his puppet. What is crucial to Vergil's history with Mundus is that he was wounded before he fought Mundus. What is also important, is that Vergil was not killed, he was enslaved. I think Mundus had an extremely hard time subduing Vergil, let alone killing him.

So where DMC4 could start, if Vergil has a campaign, is where he shatters Yamato on Mundus's face that causes Mundus's defeat and Yamato's release from the demon world. Through energy, it connects Yamato through Nero, with the return of Yamato, Vergil now has a link to find his way back into the mortal world.

Now since I said that Vergil is too strong for Mundus, that would mean Vergil is capable of what Mundus has done. Resurrection.

Vergil has now done exactly what his father did and found a way back into the human world as his reward. You see, what I'm saying is, though we don't know the fate of Sparda, Vergil does and with that he's made himself contingency plans. One being Nero.

You see, when there's a part of your subconscious somewhere. There's a way to find it. In Vergil's case, he may have some of his energy in the human world, but the toll he has to pay to manipulate it means he's not as strong as he is in the demon world. So his journey for more power continues by limiting his time alive. He has to sustain his physical form and the only way of doing this is?

Absorbing powerful spirits. That means, DEVIL ARMS DEVIL ARMS DEVIL ARMS DEVIL ARMS.

Guess who a ****ton?

DANTE!

Or if you wanna go cooperative, guess who has connections to demonic activity?

DANTE!

Now here's the kicker, Nelo Angelo fragments were a combination of Vergil and Mundus's power. So, if we use my logic of energy transfer, who do you think will be making his return to the human world as promised?

I have nothing to back this up but it was said Dante was in his mid to late 30s. 36-38 to be exact. A few years have passed and i can't find the source but i think it came from Isuno-san.
I also remember somebody (I think it was Itsuno) saying that DMC4 takes place ''about ten years after DMC3''. Since Dante is 19 in DMC3, it would be logical to assume he is 29 to 33 in DMC4. After all, if he were fifteen years older than he was in DMC3, Itsuno would've simply said 'fifteen years', not 'around ten years'.
I also think Lady's appearance in DMC4 corresponds with Dante's age: she was around 19 in DMC3 too, and in DMC4, she looks to me like she's 30. If Trish ages the same way, I would say she looks like she's 30 too.

Dante's ages in DMC in a row:
DMC1: 28 (''you lost a mother and brother to evil twenty years ago'' - Trish).
DMC2: unknown (but older than in DMC4, since it takes place after it).
DMC3: 19.
DMC4: supposedly 29 to 33.

Everything seems fine with one exception: Trish does not age. She looks exactly Eva looked when she was killed, so Eva was killed in her 30's.
