You say that as if DMC/DmC was their only game series. They also messed up on RE6, milking SFXT, Forgot all about Megaman, and made some bad layoffs on workers (I think). But I really don't care about Capcom anymore. I got what I wanted from them (DmC) and couldn't care about what happens to them next.

I can wait for another DMC game as long as its not a cheap attempt like DmC. As far as capcom going bankrupt, I highly doubt that. They are pioneers in arcade gaming. Jus cuz current gen didn't do so well for them, does not mean next gen would be the same. Also, Capcom games are well known for single player titles(though arcade game multi-player is versus and mostly one on one, unlike conventional multi-player where players play as teams or factions). Now they are making games purely based on multi-player online gaming like Deep Down since single-player games aren't so much of value as they used to be. Unless we make them easy where gamer is hero and saves the day at the push of 'A' button.

Next Gen is gonna be very rough for Capcom, at least now we know why Dead Rising 3 is an Xbone exclusive and Deep Down is a PS4 exclusive, Microsoft and Sony are paying for them because Capcom can't afford them.

You clearly have not played DmC. Cheap attemp? Story is a lot better than previous entries. It's full of satirical "f.UCK you's"; has a protagonist who has depth, is more human, and can execute demons. It's also shown that he got laid, for heaven's sake. Damn, it also has demon sex. Protagonist's bro has also got more character because he's a computer genious, can say "I got a bigger d!ck", and can ask for help when in trouble- Mundus fighting scene where he squeals, "Dante, do something". See, so much human and "relateable".

Boss fights are so awesome. In DMC4, you had to fight same boss for 3 times, whereas in DmC, you only fight bosses for one time; and it's not cheap that they can regenerate their full health for 3 times in a single fight. Afterall, you won't encounter them for another time.

Besides all what I said above, it's made by NT- the best developers in the universe. Even aliens play their games. I think every other gaming studios should sell themselves to NT because NT is the best.

NOW, I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD SAY DmC IS CHEAP.

For my thoughts on this topic, I hope to see something devil may cry in future. Maybe in 3-4 years. I can wait. As for Capcom dire situation, a part of me thinks that they got what they deserved while the other part feels sad for them.

Yeah, yeah. We get it: ''LOL, DmC be way better then DMC. You jus' hateeerrrr. 'Dont' like DmC, dont play! (including grammar mistakes)'' Sadly, if we all had that attitude, games would only live up to the minimum expectations, since nobody would criticize those games - they'd just 'not play it'. Besides, DmC is not necessarily better than DMC. Factually, it had arguably a better plot, inferior gameplay, inferior graphics (framerate, glitches, sometimes the textures), badly designed characters, annoying and unlikable characters (this is a bit subjective, though), sometimes unresponsive movement, gimmicks such as the enemies that could not be hurt easily with demon/angel weapons, more original enemies (maybe) etc etc. It's mainly a matter of preference.

RE6 was not as big an 'F you' as DmC, I think. I mean, rebooting a franchise of four games without even ending it or staying true to its overall style/atmosphere? And subsequently ridiculing the old Dante, comparing it to two gay cowboys and saying ''what was cool then isn't cool now'' (which is an opinion) and even saying ''not in a million years'' when the wig flies on new Dante's head? Come on.
People like to pretend RE6 was the first RE to be action-oriented, when RE4 was the first. Sure, it still had more horror and survival elements than RE5 and RE6, but you'd still have to blame it and the people who created it, and the gamers who decided not to speak out, but to just 'not play the game'. Finally, after RE6, people found out that their voices matter, as they're consumers. No consumers, no profit.

I suppose it's probable that neither DMC5 nor DmC2 will be developed in the short term. If they would decide to work on a Devil May Cry game, it would most likely be DmC2, as DmC at least sold to their expectations of about 1.2 million (eventually). Only after that would they consider working on DMC5. However, I don't think they would. I mean, who on earth would make two versions of one series, both with a protagonist called Dante, both of whom are fairly similar? And why would they, in a time of economic flux and disappointing company profits? Eventually, the hate towards DmC will die out, or will at least be hidden, as those people will have stopped buying Devil May Cry games. And they will have been replaced by new fans - new generations of fans, even. And so I'm really afraid DMC will never return. To Capcom, Devil May Cry is just a money maker; it's not something they necessarily feel as emotionally connected to as its fans: the people who play the game throughout their lives, building up a liking to its characters, plot, etc etc. Some do feel that way, but those who already have so much money they've become complacent, well, they won't give a hoot. And there's a lot of those people.

I don't think Capcom is going to go bankrupt any time soon. They seem to have an idea to change their business plan, so that'll probably work. Aside from that, they have not stated anything about only barely keeping their heads above water.

I wish DMC5 would be made, and I wish it would replace DmC just as hard as DmC replaced the old DMC franchise. Heck, to make it perfect, have Platinum Games or somebody else slap some 'f.uck you' on there, and send it to Crapcom/Ninja Theory. Now who needs to apply water to the burn? This is just my opinion, and I'm sorry if you take offense, but your being offended, like Stephen Fry said, is not my problem. I did not attack any member or deprecate their views, so please do take this seriously, but please don't get ****ed off because I might not share your opinion. And please don't continue this DmC vs DMC nonsense. This is NOT going to become a hate thread.

I think Capcom should bide their time for any info regarding develompent of a new DMC/DmC. Given their intentional controversy, a new DMC would be seen as damage control and an inability to stick to their guns and a new DmC would be seen as illogical based on sales ( it hit the mark but went under their expectations) and the majority of fan feedback. Like it or not, we know that there's a movie coming out, so we have at least some Devil May Cry content to look forward to.

This is just a guess on my part, but I agree with the OP. With Capcom and the franchise's current reputation, it's too early to expect anything.

On the discussions of Resident Evil 6 I do agree they messed up some. I've played nearly every Resident Evil game to date and the only excitment I got from the game was playing it through on multiplayer. If they really are going back to survival roots they better mean it this time and put an effort into making it scary. Blasting away enemies with a plentiful of bullets is not scary ;_;

Explosions, swooping camera angles and chase sequences, they need to just slow it all right down and go back to basics.

Back to when you were scared enough just walking down a corridor hearing something from far off, and when just one or two zombies or monsters were a BIG deal! But most importantly, more than anything...Jill going through one game without wearing a friggin jumpsuit!

I hear revelations captured that old style at least, so maybe that's a good sign. Damn I need to play that so badly! so so so baaaaadly! @.@

I used to always love how he said 'staaaars' all intimidating, it's weird but they never did nail that saying down for me whenever I heard it in other games or the movie. The way it sounded was just too different XD

Seriously though, your first time playing RE3, did anybody get freaked by Nemesis?

I'm glad you came to your senses and finally accepted DmC as the superior version.

I would rather RE not go back to that old control scheme because it's a formula that doesn't age well. RE 4 did a good thing changing it up like it did and also RE 4 is what I would still consider a survival horror game. It's Capcom's fault RE lost its way. Losing its way anymore would make it basically just one of those COD Zombie modes.

They said they were wanting to go back to the survival horror roots but, I'll believe it when I see it. They said that about 6. In the meantime I do have Outlast and the upcoming Evil Within game.

And yes. Nemesis was pretty cool. RE has never scared me (I'm an avid horror fan so it takes A LOT to scare me in the first place) but, Nemesis was pretty intimidating. Didn't want to really get in a fight with that mofo.

Yeah, man. I feel glad too. I like how you saw through my post. It must be those magically enhanced ultra superior genes you got by liking DmC that led you to see my real intent, right? Amirite?

Edit:

Your radar is either broken or outdated. Or your just trolling, in that case i applaud you.

Oh, you just shut the hell up. You don't possess the the superior genes you get by liking DmC. It defines if you're in your senses or not. You've no right to be among us.
