Seems that Microsoft are gearing up for a $50 price drop in the US according to a 'leak' of retail advertising which can be found here. The price cut is apparently according to rumours scheduled for August 12th.

Sony cant afford to be dropping prices anywhere really but they must to get sales going, but they shouldnt alienate European gamers anymore than they already have.
