NT and many other developers before them have made "Nephilim" angel/demon hybrids, and most people didn't even know the word existed until then :/

The best we can do is refer to them as their in-game definition, and just let people in on the trivia of Nephilim's true definition.

I'm not entirely sure the last boss will be Vergil... I have the idea it'll be something that forces it's way into limbo from the demon world and it drags Vergil back with it.

Mundus. hands down. i believe when Dante and Vergil fight itll be over an arguement as what they should do. ie take the easy route of (insert thingy here) ensuring their victory but costing them their (insert moral thingy here). or take the high road. a more difficult path but morally sound. so the two fight and Dante shows Vergil that together they can win etc etc they dramatically grab hands and lalalalala

ooooor perhaps as a lil banter between the two

Dante: we just killed the god of limbo
Vergil :yup
Dante: doesnt that make us the strongest beings in all of reality?
Vergil:....i guess it does...
Dante: i wonder which of us is the stronger
Vergil: *smiles and unsheathes yamatto*: wanna find out
Dante: its like looking in a mirror *draws ebony and ivory*

scene ends with hilarous and ambigiuos ending filled with pizza and lolz

Truth be told, I'm honestly hoping Mundus doesn't get killed off at the end of this game, I thought that itw as one of the biggest anti-climaxes of DMC1; Mundus was built up as this end all be all of Hell's generals, and then...the entire story was wrapped up in one game. While technically Dante did not KILL him at the end of DMC1, he's effectively gone for good as there has been no indication of him ever coming back...since Mundus is essentially the Devil king(barring an appearence from the Devil, Ha-Sataniel, himself ala Lords of Shadow), it would serve teh narrative for him tyo survive to return in some capacity.

Although, Mundus did do his whole "I will return some day, Dante!" thing, which...always sorta leaves things open. Granted, they've veered so far off from what they could have done with Mundus' return, it'd be a little weird to try and get it back on track.

I did like Zelda II's concept, that the enemies were trying to revive Ganon, and if needed the blood of the one who slew him (Link), so it created an interesting dynamic.

Well, that line was intended by Kamiya to open for a sequel that would feature Dante's son, since he intended each DMC to feature a new hero in Sparda's Legacy. Kind'a why Bayonetta seems to some fans as what Kamiya would probably have done for his DMC2

Sparda - "Thank you for freeing me, my sons. Now...with Mundus out of the way I can finally CONQUER THE UNIVERSE!"
Vergil - "Hokay, father!"
Dante - "Balls..."

Dante: "Alright, time to be the total badass and kick both your faces into Cocytus! Should'a know this might happened with the way Verg was actin'..."

Good theory. Also makes sense for the DLC called Vergils 'Downfall'. See what happens after he got dragged down there.

I voted for Mundus just 'cause, but I think it would be cool to make it Vergil if you complete every secret mission or something like that. Not change the story, but add a bonus boss fight after the credits to build up DmC2 so to speak
