when you complete the game with nero can you start a new game with dante

if you mean to play Nero's missions with Dante, then no - Nero can only plays Nero's mission and Dante can only play Dante's missions. :dry: We all wanted what you want, but that's not the case...

ah thanks i thought u could like in dmc3 where u can play as vegil but i guess not

the "character choice" option is only for choices of (using Nero as example): automatic Nero, non-automatic Nero, automatic Super Nero, and non-automatic Super Nero. Dante likewise.

You can obtain super characters (unlimited DT, but no health regeneration + score penalty) after you've completed DMD mode.
